5 out of 5 eggsPerformance per dollar!

Pros: No issues installing this in my fresh build. Using this with a noctua dh14 running 4.6GHz <50°C under load prime 95. Dialed it back to 4.2 for everyday performance and more longevity.

Cons: Not terribly fast.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cruises right along through games and applications, including large excel files, MatLab (GNU Octave, actually), etc.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm not an over-clocker or temp analyzer. I just want a processor that is capable of whatever I throw at it, which this is. Great bang-for-your-buck, in my opinion. I have an oversized heat sink installed on this and have never had any problems, whatsoever. That's my definition of a "good" processor- install it and forget it, just like everything else that goes into the computer case.

5 out of 5 eggsOver half a year no complaints

Pros: This cpu is not top of the line, however, even if you are a hardcore gamer i see no reason to spend money for anything more powerful. paired with my 7970 i am running all games on max setting and i have enough cpu power left to go crossfire if i wanted to. This cpu is also exceptional for overclocking, i managed a 4.5ghz overclock without tweaking voltage, then bumped it up to 4.7ghz barely adding any voltage at all. Also this cpu performs exceptionally well running a ton of programs at once, i've installed 2 programs, unpacked an archive, and played bf4 on max all at the same time while only occasionally hitting max cpu usage. IT ROCKS

Cons: IT IS HOT!!! i have a 280mm kraken water cooler on this thing, and when it gets hot in the summer time (80 degrees in my room) the cpu hangs around 45 degrees celcius sometimes up to 50. (from what i understand it's safe up to 60 though) with stock voltage however it runs about 5 degrees cooler than this.

Other Thoughts: I thought getting this chip instead of an fx-6300 would allow me to overclock maybe an extra .1-.2ghz than overclocking a 6300 however after comparing results to others online it's about the same. if you are planning to overclock save a few bucks get the 6300 you'll have identical results

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: It's a perfect balance of performance and price for me.

Cons: People say that the AM3+ socket used by these processors is going out of use within a couple of years. If you plan to upgrade that could be a factor because you might have to buy a new motherboard as well.

Other Thoughts: This was my first PC build and as such I had a lot of research to do.

Intel was my first reaction, but checking benchmarks I quickly realized that AMD was way better bang for your buck overall, in terms of processor power.

Then I was going to go with an APU, but realized I would do better for the money if I bought a FX series CPU and a separate GPU.

Checked a benchmark website, and the Vishera FX-6300 was near the top on the best value list.

Found a combo discount on the FX-6350 that gave me an extra bump.

It's working great, I'm happy with the speed. I would buy it again for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsA good processor

Pros: Really more powerfull than my last processor, nothing broken, really good quality and solid when clipped to the motherboard.

Cons: I had some difficulty to put the fan/rad on the processor at first but I succeed after many tries. I was just worried that I could break it. And there was a little grey square under the rad and I guessed that it was the thermic paste but I was not sure.

Other Thoughts: I thought they would give with this piece a tube of thermic paste.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: -Cheap (got it on sale for $119)
-Good bang for buck
-Overclocked to 4.5ghz on stock voltage with ease

Cons: -Stock Fan is not the best, but usable (see other thoughts)
-More expensive than the FX-6300

Other Thoughts: Do not use stock fan if you intend to overclock. The stock fan is sub-par at best. Get an inexpensive aftermarket cooler and it will be miles better.

5 out of 5 eggstop notch CPU

Pros: Price, performance and six cores this thing is just great

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This was my first build and there is no replacing it so i do not overclock with it stock I was playing WoT, watching a movie on second monitor and browsing the web and the CPU was running at 45% and 25*C I am very happy with and would recommend this CPU with confidence mine is in a CM HAF 912 I haven't had any heat issues with the stock heat sink and fan I go from 12*C at idle to 50*C at a 90% load it does all I ask it to do
