Pros: Quick . Made a world of difference compared to the Celeron 900 . Really cheap for a fast enough to do whatever dual core chip.
Cons: None really , Could do with a bit more L2 cache . But this chip hums . Munches everything I throw at it .
Other Thoughts: There are so many Core Processors . LOL . But they are all relatively fast from Conroe on up . So it's a perfect upgrade to make an older machine scream . I upgraded a Lenovo g550 2958 with this chip . 2958cfu . I have bios 18CN46WW(V2.55) some g550 2958 laptops have 18CN44WW . I don't know why . I can't even find this laptop on the Lenovo support site . It came from Office Depot . I know this laptop was made in may of 2010 and came with the gl40 chipset and the celeron 900 with 250gb had drive and 2gb ram . But if you are thinking of upgrading a Lenovo g550 in 2958 trim make sure you have the 46 bios . I'm not sure what chips the 44 bios supports . Just a heads up .
