Good bang for your buck
- Pros: This piece of hardware is very powerful for it's price, preventing the need to over pay for a newer processor that has a small amount faster processing speed. It's being used for 3d rendering mostly and no issues have arisen.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Good piece of equipment for test rendering to final renders.
Good Processor
- Pros: Fast processor for the price. Reliable and good for 64 bit OS.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: It is a good processor for the price without getting into the extreme series, which will not give you much of any perceivable performance increase (but will cost double if not more). The amount of onchip cache is very nice, as that makes a performance difference for process intensive apps, versus the 6MB option for this chip.
- Pros: Fast. Running 2 in a Tyan 5396 board with no problems.
