Pros: back in march of 09 i got 2 kits of khx8500ad2k2/4g and in january of 2010 i found 1 stick of 4 was bad so i called kingston and the memory was discontinued so they couldn't replace that 1 stick so they replaced all 4 for free with khx 8500d2k2/4g and to me that will make me only buy kingston for life even when i build my next system when the i7 930 is released no matter the cost of it

Other Thoughts: i will only buy kingston for life

Pros: This is actually my first time using Kingston for ram and I've got to say I am really impressed no DOA or problems thus far (although only time will tell as I've only had them for a week). When mounted in a friend's machine (mine needs a new mobo) they ran at the specified speeds with no problems whatsoever.

Cons: So far none but as I said time will tell.

Pros: None regarding this memory type

Cons: I will share with you the potential buyer what Kingston Technical said to me. "We no longer make this specific memory type. MMM I said! Having any problems, oh no. I'll let you read between the lines.

Other Thoughts: My expereince Asus P5Q Deluxe motherboard likes Corsair XMS Twinx 4096 C5 just fine. No blue screens or inconsistencies whatsoever. FYI: Asus + Corsair offices are located in Fremont, CA. Asus uses Corsair memory in the testing of their motherboards. Good Luck, hope this will help prospective buyers.
