3 out of 5 eggsGood stuff, but 2 sticks died...

Pros: Ran great for 4 months or so without a hitch...

Cons: Then one stick died. Machine didn't even post. Pulled one stick (found it on the first try) and everything ran fine. 2 weeks later, second stick died. Been running on one 2 GB stick for the last month or so without a problem.

Other Thoughts: As others have posted, we shouldn't be Kingston's test ground. The Egg should pull these until Kingston can ensure this product meets their high standards of excellence and performance. I need to get around to sending in for my RMA so I can get these sticks replaced and get back to running what I paid for.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: None

Cons: Poor product, no quality testing has been performed on lot 9905403-039.AOOLF.

Other Thoughts: Kingtson needs to get orgainized and "quality" orientated. I am not a testing ground for their lackluster products.

I pay premium funds for this product, to be disappointed when they are DOA. One was defective at start-up and the other 2 failed within 8 hours.

The management representative at Kingston for the Newegg account needs to be terminated.

This Ram is over-rated, and unsatisfactory!

Doing the RMA process (which takes 2 weeks), and then will try another kit. If it has the same batch number, I will be VERY frustrated, as all the purchasers of the item had some sort of a failure.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: None

Cons: The Quality Assurance at Kingston is substandard. 1 stick was DOA, and the remaining died within an hour. This is unacceptable and will NOT be tolerated. Paying this much for Ram, and not having a working product is poor management at Kingston.

Other Thoughts: Newegg needs to rid their inventory of batch 9905403-039.AOOLF. All of this Ram is defective. The supplier representative for Kingston needs to help with these RMA's and ensure the customer is satisfied.

Do not buy this product!

1 out of 5 eggsBad RAM

Pros: Runs at 2000mhz 8-8-8-20-1T @1.69v on Bloodrage.

Cons: I am about to RMA my second set of these. I bought them in Feb and they lasted about 2 months before failing. RMA direct with Kingston and got a second set which required much more voltage than my first set to reach the same speed and timings. Second set has failed in less than a month. I really wish I could just get a refund. Going to go with another brand and use these for backups.

Other Thoughts: Obviously there are many many problems with this memory I really cant believe newegg or Kingston for that matter hasnt pulled it from the shelf as a lost cause.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA 3 Times in a row

Pros: I feel somewhat lucky, each package contains 3 sticks and 1 out of 3 were bad each package but for almost 2 months now I have no issue and can run at spec with 12 gig 1T timmings at 1949 Ghz (my system seems to find its balance here - I7 965 @ 4.2Ghz, low temps, 1.64 volts on memory, 1.384 volts on CPU, 36c idle)

Cons: RMA 3 times, 3 in a pckage - 1 DOA each package. Required to send 3 back although only one is dead... So had 2 packages arrive RMA before sending others back to weed out the best sticks during testing. Found 6 that seem to work but this product should be pulled off the shelf.

There are too many DOA issues as I had a total of 3 RMA's. The XMP function that made me decide to go this route as I did not want to 'tweak' things never works - it seems to up the voltage to 2.0v and if it succeeds on boot which it usually does not I then have to check the voltage settings quickly before I feel comfortable so the 'console' is always up (lots of informational windows about status and such...).

Like I said - it's working now but reading what others have to say... I look as the startup info flashes by - at the memory and still see the 12 gig.

Other Thoughts: Read what people say in the reviews and Buy Another Product.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Is there anything good you can say about dead ram?

Cons: If your system begins to experience boot issues and cycles through trying to start Windows with a bsod, you've got the wonderful dead stick that we all know about. Try popping sticks out until you find the dead one. Confirm you got the right one with memtest 2.11 on a CD. RMA those things for refund and make newegg pay the shipping. These things are garbage and usually die after about a week of use. Can't believe kingston and newegg are continuing to send out DOA kits as RMA's. Somebody needs to take a classified out of the box at newegg and sit down for the day filtering out dead sticks. In the mean time, yank this product until kingston can get their act together and fix the problem.

Other Thoughts: The longer this goes on, the more its going to cost newegg in shipping fees and the more it's going to cost Kingston because they are going to get shafted with all these junk kits they didn't realize they were making. Love the free 4gb flash drive they are offering now, I guess they hope that will convince people to buy the set anyways haha.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Pros, ha, nothing much to say here...

Cons: Either the sets show up open package, or they die after use. Obviously kingston got some bad elpida ic's or something because nobody else is being affected by this wave of dead sticks and they all use the same elpida hyper ic's.

Other Thoughts: Do not by any means buy this ram, you will get an open package set that is DOA. Have newegg RMA for refund this stuff because otherwise you will get stuck in the cycle of receiving open packages of this stuff over and over and over. Newegg needs to take a garbage bag and can this stuff.
