Cheapest Elpida around!

Pros: Elpida chips! 2000MHz 8-8-8-20-1T @ 1.64v no sweat. 1600MHz 7-7-7-18-1T @ 1.6v not an issue either. Did I mention these are Elpida Hyper chips? For under $300, this is the deal of the year.

Cons: Hard to find these in stock. I got lucky late one night and the Egg had them.

Other Thoughts: By far the best deal on i7 ready RAM you're going to find. Works 100% with DFI Te3H8 and i7 920. To run these at 2000MHz you're going to need to up your QPI (VTT) volts to about 1.5v. For 1600MHz with tighter timings, lower QPI (VTT) volts is fine.

Pros: Outlandish speed and reliability. Fastest DDR3 RAM on the planet...for now. Runs cool, too. No fan required. Blows my Dominators in the weeds, and they're no slouches...

Cons: EXTREMELY Limited Availability. Check your height clearance...

Other Thoughts: Wish it were cheaper, but you DO sometimes get what you pay for!!! Price is really not too high, all things considered. They run a whole bunch of chips, but only a precious few will pass these specs (CL8/2000). The VAST majority (>98%) end up in either their CL9 2000's or their CL8 1800's. Kingston's website shows this kit with a 6/19/09 projected avail date...and a whopping $469.00 price. Newegg must be one of their fave sources for plumbing.

Good stuff, but 2 sticks died...

Pros: Ran great for 4 months or so without a hitch...

Cons: Then one stick died. Machine didn't even post. Pulled one stick (found it on the first try) and everything ran fine. 2 weeks later, second stick died. Been running on one 2 GB stick for the last month or so without a problem.

Other Thoughts: As others have posted, we shouldn't be Kingston's test ground. The Egg should pull these until Kingston can ensure this product meets their high standards of excellence and performance. I need to get around to sending in for my RMA so I can get these sticks replaced and get back to running what I paid for.

Cons: 1 stick died after 2 months

Overnite modules to Manufacturer for warranty replacement.
Just got notify from them that they are out of stock, expected wait time is almost 1 month!

Back order from a store I can understand.. but from the manufacturer??????

Cons: Poor product, no quality testing has been performed on lot 9905403-039.AOOLF.

Other Thoughts: Kingtson needs to get orgainized and "quality" orientated. I am not a testing ground for their lackluster products.

I pay premium funds for this product, to be disappointed when they are DOA. One was defective at start-up and the other 2 failed within 8 hours.

The management representative at Kingston for the Newegg account needs to be terminated.

This Ram is over-rated, and unsatisfactory!

Doing the RMA process (which takes 2 weeks), and then will try another kit. If it has the same batch number, I will be VERY frustrated, as all the purchasers of the item had some sort of a failure.
