Good so far!
- Pros: installed into GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard. Had to manually set voltage and parameters in bios, but after that everything runs great. Contacted Kingstion and they walked me through everything. Great support on there end!
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: These sticks like to run at 2.1v.
Decent. Could OC a little better.
- Pros: 1. Nice, pretty, large heatsinks.
2. Heatsinks seem very well attached. The feel very secure and very sturdy. Sometimes they feel warm to the touch, so you know they are doing their job.
- Cons: 1. In my opinion, they could overclock just a little better. I got mine running at 5-5-5-15-20,(<--TRC) and 1080Mhz. I can also do 4-4-4-8-16 @ 850Mhz, but anything beyond either of these two limits, and they crash out. No big deal...I mean I know they are only rated to run at 1066, but we ARE overclockers, after all. You know we want to push the limit. Wouldn't have hurt my feelings to see them do 1100Mhz. Or 1120, or 1140.
- Other Thoughts: All in all, decent enough. Works fine, and I'm sure Kingston would RMA them if they died.
Whats up with the price?
- Pros: Very high quality, very fast, easily overclocked very stable.
If not for the con, would get a 5.
- Cons: Whats up with the price? I bought this kit that looks the same and has the same specs on Newegg on 2/1/2009, and it was 64 dollars, free shipping. And now it's almost double the price. Whats the point now, just get some good DDR3 for the same amount of money.
- Other Thoughts: Have had great luck with Kingston RAM in the past and certainly would buy from them in the future, but not paying this much for DDR2.
