5 out of 5 eggsKingston (Speedy)

Pros: The product description sums it up.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have these sticks running 24/7 since October 2010 with no issues thus far. As others stated in their reviews these run at lowest default values (1033). Don't forget to go into BIOS to change to highest speed (1600). cheers!

5 out of 5 eggsRunning great for 5 months so far!

Pros: Excellent memory from day one. NO issues at stock settings. Haven't tried to overclock. No need to so far.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Used 6GB of this memory in a high end personal build in 11/10 and has run great from the first day I powered it up (this review is 4/7/11). EVGA x58 MB with Intel 980x, two EVGA 580x video cards and an Intel SSD running Win 7 64. This has been the fastest and most stable PC I've ever put together in the past 15 years.

5 out of 5 eggsA+

Pros: Works better than advertised

Cons: Price, but dont really think thats a con.....you get what you pay for most of the time.

Other Thoughts: bought 12 gigs of this for my pc. I have EVGA MB and the default latency timing is 7-7-7-19, better than advertised. Wish I has a higher tech knowledge so I could OC it some. Tried to and my pc wouldn't post, reset CMOS so no big deal.

3 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with Rampage III Gene

Pros: Contains XMP information. Low profile.

Cons: Did not sync up at 1333 or 1600 with the Asus Rampage III Gene. Works fine at 1066, but even selecting all defaults and using the embedded XMP profile 1 (1600), the system would not boot. Wasn't interested in determining if this was an incompatibility or defect as this memory isn't on the board's tested list anyway. NewEgg is taking it back happily and I'm ordering another 8-8-8 that is guaranteed compatible.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Got this RAM to troubleshoot a problem that I've been having for almost 6 months now. Was getting blue screens and constant memory errors, and Prime95 was failing blend tests in a matter of seconds. I adjusted voltages, underclocked the RAM, RMA'd my mobo, CPU, PSU, and RAM multiple times, with nothing solving the problem. Plugged this RAM in yesterday, OC'd CPU to 160 BCLK and the RAM was at 1600, and just finished 10 hours of Prime95 blend test with no issues.

Previous RAM was OCZ3G1600LV6GK (OCZ gold 6gig kit). Mobo is EVGA E758-TR. The OCZ RAM was listed as compatible with the board, but 3 sets of RAM all had the same issues, so I'm skeptical.

I'd definitely recommend this RAM for the EVGA SLI mobos.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Again, get this RAM if you have an EVGA SLI board.

5 out of 5 eggsRobust XMP Ready memory with reasonable timings at a good price

Pros: Switched to this memory at the last second before placing my order when I realized the ASRock X58 Extreme3 which I was also ordering supported XMP. Installed it, set XMP profile 1 and it went to its rated speed and timings without any fuss. Not currently OC'ing.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: ASRock X58 Extreme 3, i7-950, Kingston HyperX 6gb DDR3 1600, Sparke GeForce GTX 480, Sparkle GW-EPS1250DA PSU, various Hitachi and Seagate drives. Not currently OC'ing and not using USB3 or SATA3.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice RAM, Works with my ASUS P6X58D Premium.

Cons: I also had to go into bios to set the speed from 1066 to 1600

Other Thoughts: Why is the 3x4GB so expensive?

5 out of 5 eggsExpedient memory

Pros: This memory is fast, the low CAS latency and overall speed hitting 1600 aids in receiving speeds up to 25+ GB/sec transfer rates.

Cons: The Documentation seems a bit on the light side on how to enable the speeds beyond the i7 stock of 1066.

Other Thoughts: To enable the 1600 speeds, you need the ability to directly alter either the multiplier, memory profile, or the CPU's multiplier and voltage settings.

For my case, using an EE processor yielded a case where I needed to simply enable the memory's XMP profile (versus standard), set the multiplier for the memory to 2:12, and adjusted the VTT voltage to +25mv. To attain the CAS latency of 8, you'll need to manually set the values yourself in the BIOS. This is the only way I knew to attain product specification speeds.
