Kingston's HyperX Plug-and-Play (PnP) is designed to improve the performance of your Sandy Bridge notebook or DIY system. Increase speed without changing system settings — PnP is preset for maximum speeds and easy to install. It's compatible with Generation 2 Core i5 and i7 and also with the latest Intel Sandy Bridge P67 and Z68 chipset. Plus it's backwards compatible without the plug-and-play functionality.

  • newegg HyperX PnP 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Dual-Channel Laptop Kit These high performance memory modules have been tested to run at JEDEC DDR3-1866 at a latency timing of 11-11-11-30 at 1.5V. Additional timing parameters are shown in the PnP Timing Parameters section.
  • newegg Faster Just Got Easier Kingston's HyperX PnP memory is programmed with faster frequencies and when 'plugged' into a system using the Sandy Bridge chipset, will automatically 'play' at rated speed in both desktop and notebook PCs - no further BIOS settings required. (Note: PnP implementation is only possible in configurations that include a BIOS that supports the PnP function. Your maximum speed will be determined by your BIOS.)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM upgrade

Pros: Great price, quality and performance. Installed two pairs, booted my system and checked the BIOS. They were recognized at the correct speed of 1866MHz. I upgraded from 8GB of 1600MHz (OEM) RAM to 16GB at 1866!

Cons: Wish I would have bought these in December when they were less expensive!

Other Thoughts: Great RAM upgrade for my Dell Precision M6700 workstation.

4 out of 5 eggsSatisfied.

Pros: No problems what so ever. Just plugged them in and am now running at peak performance.

Cons: Pictures are misleading but performance is as advertised.

Other Thoughts: Newegg,
Please change the pictures depicting the dims to have heatsinks. They do not come with them. They come with a shinny sticker. Thank you.

3 out of 5 eggsHyperX Ram

Pros: Good looking memory, have bought Kingston memory before and have been so happy.

Cons: I bought a total of 16 gigs worth of this memory for my new Asus G-75 laptop and it will not post with any of the sticks installed. Sucks for me that I waited over a month to put them in cause now I can not return them (my fault).

Other Thoughts: If you have an Asus G-75 laptop this memory will NOT work.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfect in Alienware m18x R2

Pros: It worked perfect without any issues. There is no need to make any changes in bios, it automatecally detects the ram and their speed (that is why is it called PnP).

For some years kingston memory is very reliable.

Cons: None. I believe also is a good price for this memory. Is one of the fastest along with Corsair Vengeance. I have those too but I have trouble with them in this system. Though they work well in my m17x R3.

If you get issues with the memory once you install it, it may be because you are getting some bad memory; this is not because of compatibility issues.

Other Thoughts: No other thoughts.
