Kingston's 1GB PC2 6400 memory module is a great choice for new builds or upgrades. Add one to a system with 2GB already to boost memory to 32-bit Vista's max. Or, install two for a great base level no matter what OS you are using. Whatever you choose Kingston's performance and reliability will have your system running like a champ.

Pros: Reliable. That's what matters most in memory these days, right? Find the bus speed, voltage and DDR standard supported by your board, and then go with what's most reliable. I chose these 2 of these Kingston sticks for my most recent build, and they've been working perfectly! No hang ups or coughs or crashes or hiccups or errors. Even during demanding tasks, such as moving around large files or 3D gaming, haven't had a problem! Definite win!
Cons: These sticks of memory may not meet some people's desires in the realms of overclocking, as does it officially support voltages over 1.8v. I don't regard this as a con becuase I am idealogically opposed to overclocking. Reliability should be our first and foremost concern, and this memory delivers in that respect. Also, the CAS latency is rather high, but my understanding of RAM is that CAS is less important to performance than clockspeed.
Other Thoughts: Buying memory is a tricky buisness these days, filled with people who are loyal to one brand of RAM and refuse to purchase anything else. I admit I'm one of these people, so I was hesistant to go outside of my normal purchases to get Kingston, but had to becuase the board I recently purchased wouldn't support the memory brand I typically purchase. I went out on a limb and purchased Kingston based off a trusted recommendation, I'm pleased to say that Kingston has exceeded my expectations. Good RAM!

Pros: I was running with 1 GB of this RAM for the first few months of my computers life, I got Vista which ran well, but I needed a bit more, the price dropped like $100 since then, it's super cheap and worth every cent! I bought another stick, popped it in and the difference was noticeable right away, it pushed my Vista performance rating to a 5.4 out of 5.9 (RAM still being the lowest with 5.4), once I get 4 GB, my computer should be maxed . Get them now while they are here, I just ordered another stick and I plan to get more.
Cons: none!
Other Thoughts: Vista does require a lot of RAM, like I said, if your building a new PC, try to get four sticks of this RAM, 4GB = one amazing Vista experience

Other Thoughts: I found a nice computer online a while ago and order it with only 1 gb of ram so that I could pick up 3 more from Newegg and save a ton. I have had the computer for 3 years now and have had nothing but good luck with it and this ram.

Pros: Bought two of them to upgrade my Vista-32 system to 4Gb (yes, only about 3Gb is usable because of 32-bit). System booted right up, no problems.
Cons: None
