I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 with two 1 Gb memory cards. Some reviews say this is max allowed on this machine. But when I search by model on your site, you show 2 Gb memory cards available. Can you help me decide if I can go from 2 to 4 Gb memory on this older laptop? Thanks!

I purchased the Kingston 2gb chip to upgrade my Dell Lattitude laptop from the OEM 513mb memory. It was extremely easy to put in and my laptop recognized it immediately. It was a tremendous boost to my speed and the chip has worked perfectly ever since I put it in. With such a low cost, it is a great upgrade to my computer instead of buying a new computer!! Tremendous value for the low cost!!

Is this memory backwards compatible with 533Mhz?

I believe so. This memory was installed in a Dell D620 laptop with no issues. The D620 specs indicate 667-533MHz are supported. When searching Kingston site for D620, it recommended this memory.
