Pros: I have been buying Kingston memories for years and never had any problem. Kingston memories have life time warranty.

Cons: I wasted 3 months trying to figure out why my first Media Center PC was not working (Blue Screen of Death after random hours of operation and random freezes). Used 3 different machines thinking that was some other hardware problem, like the TV Tuner card. I installed the memory on my 3rd machine, which has been 100% stable, moved its memory to the 2nd machine with the Media Center hardware and VOILA! 2nd machine is stable, 3rd machine BLUE SCREEN of DEATH. All 3 machines could handle DDR2 800 ("lucky me"). Also, none of these machines have heat problem they are all well ventilated and the memory never runs hot.

Other Thoughts: Based on my previous experience with Kingston, I would say I got the short stick on this one...it happens! However I still have to give one star, since it was really hard to pinpoint the memory as the problem. It even passed on two different full memory tests!

Other Thoughts: Newegg is the best, fast delivery!! from close out of order page, to my mailbox 3-4 days. tracking was perfect, packaging was perfect, i will be using Newegg exclusively for my upgrade needs.

Cons: It wasn't 8GB.

Pros: I used this RAM to upgrade a friend's old PC (Gateway GT5676). It was affordable and works fine. Buy with confidence.

Other Thoughts: This is actually more expensive than a similar amount of DDR3, which sort of sucks if you need to upgrade an old system.

Pros: Reliable, low heat, and surprise!, low-profile (at least the pair I got)
I love the low-profile part. They don't restrict airflow!

Cons: None in my 3 years of ownership

Other Thoughts: I checked the motherboard manufacturer's website for my specific model of motherboard and picked this RAM because it was on their list of tested and approved RAM.
Honestly, it's the best way for people to make sure they don't have the massive headaches that can occur with incompatible parts. I don't know why more people don't do it.
