5 out of 5 eggsCareful of 2007 iMacs

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: 800 MHz ram will not work in a 2007 iMac so be careful when ordering.

2 out of 5 eggsStupid RAM

Pros: Wasn't able to find out...

Cons: I was led to believe by other reviews that this RAM would be compatible with my dad's iMac, which needed a RAM upgrade. He has a relatively recent model, the 20" aluminum and glass 2.4 ghz Core 2 Duo model. Popped the RAM in, no boot.... Tried various configurations...

Other Thoughts: Googled it, found some answers. Apparently this Mac doesn't support DDR2 800. Fine... Here's the stupid part. According to what I found, this RAM should also be capable of down-clocking itself to run at the speed this computer can handle. Unfortunately some manufacturers are sometimes a little sloppy about making sure their SPD settings are properly programmed. The nitpicky Mac bios picks this up, and refuses to boot. A workaround is to have one stick of stock RAM, and one of these installed, the stock SO-DIMM will force the other to run at 667 mhz. I tried it, and it worked. The computer booted, only to crash soon after I logged in... Back it goes, gonna find myself some slower RAM. :(

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install
Don't have to configure anything
Lets me have a lot more applications open at the same time, no more page outs or swap. (:

Cons: -

Other Thoughts: Used this on an early 2008 20" iMac (iMac8,1). Went from 1 GB RAM to 3 GB RAM. (:

5 out of 5 eggsWorked well in an intel iMac

Pros: Did exactly what it was supposed to do. Increasing from 2 to 4 gb of memory improved the speed of my Intel iMac (alluminum/glass model).

Cons: None yet.

5 out of 5 eggsCan't Go Wrong.

Pros: I bought this for my girlfriend's imac, popped it in and it worked like a charm. Her computer is running better then ever, though before hand it only had 1 GB of stock ram (2x 512mb)

Lifetime warranty, works very well, noticeable improvement if your system is running a bit laggy with opening things.

Cons: Nothing, likely will be getting another soon.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Was much cheaper than buying from apple.

Cons: My IMAC24 had the the slots filled with 2 1GB Chips so I had to waste one. and I'm at 3gb instead of four.

Other Thoughts: I'm gonna grab another one of these later 2 max it out at 4gb.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Easy to install. Very reasonable price. Works great. Huge difference. Do a lot of work with pictures and programs run much faster. Seriously?!? its only that much for 2 more gigs of RAM.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I was reading the reviews. One mentioned this would not work on the 24in. You need to verify the generation of iMac you have. Current iMacs (early 2009) run off a DDR3. The early 08 iMacs run off a DDR2. It does if installed in the right generation. Newer generations (early 2009) in both 20in & 24in run 1066MHz DDR3 (PC3-8500) and the early 2008 in both 20in/24in run 800MHz DDR2 (PC2-6400). So make sure you verify your model # and serial number against the apple website to see which generation you have. Or easier just check the specs of the current system by opening system profiler and selecting memory. Match up the specs and viola. More ram that works great for a great price.
