5 out of 5 eggsIt Works

Pros: 2GB RAM, DDR3. I Opened my computer, I plugged it in, and it worked.

Cons: It's Shorter than the other RAM sticks I bought?

Other Thoughts: I bought this for an older PC, not realizing that there is a difference between DDR and DDR3, about a year ago, but that's my fault.

I built my own PC for the first time, and this fit perfectly in my hand-chosen mother board, so no complaints at all.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is reasonable inexpensive.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I installed these in this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128452

It's been working fine.

2 out of 5 eggsKingston's first drop in customer satisfaction

Pros: Low cost with decent performance specs.

Cons: Failed memory testing at different test points and consistently failed checkerboard testing (would hang) within the first to last runs. When high demand was put on bank 1 (running a local backup on a drive), it froze within 2 minutes of execution. Same backup hardware on another system worked 100% with different RAM.

Other Thoughts: I've had good luck with Kingston memory in the past (100%), maybe this one is just a spot of bad luck, but it could signal a decline in manufacturing processes. I will probably stick with Crucial in the future for my buying. You can argue you get what you pay for, but at some point technology has to be cheaper to produce without lowering quality, especially when you're buying non bleeding edge tech parts.

4 out of 5 eggs2 Out of 3

Pros: Good price, exactly what I needed

Cons: 1st one I received, I had all sort of issues loading my OS, ran memtest86+ and came up with lots of errors in either motherboard slot

Other Thoughts: Newegg handled the RMA process (my first) wonderfully, I've since ordered another and both sticks are working great

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Great memory, no heat sinks needed. Great Price, make sure this particular memory is in your motherboard's recommended memory list before buying it.

Cons: cheap looking, but then again ... it was cheap!

Other Thoughts: Cant beat the price, and to make it look less cheap most manufacturers just slap some plastic on top to make it look better, not a fan of that.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat brand, great ram

Pros: I've always trusted Kingston, from basic builds to my heavy rigs, and it's always done what I ask.

Cons: Can't think of anything.

Other Thoughts: This stick went into a basic build, and it fired right up. Doing exactly what I wanted it to. Can't ask for much more.
