5 out of 5 eggsrunning smooth & strong.

Pros: Purchased 4 of these on 12/30/2010. and installed on a new ASUS M4A785-M mother board. This is my office work computer which has been in continuous use five days a week eight hours a day, still running smooth and strong as it did on day one. Buy with confidence.

Cons: None...

Other Thoughts: Thanks Newegg and Good job PQI.

Pros: Bought these a while back for a system build. The computer came back to me recently, RAM still works fine.

Cons: Forgot to write a review when I bought it.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive and Just works

Pros: No Mistake this is not enthusiast RAM. If your retreading your elderly neighbors old E-Machine cuz they have a very limited income...Perfect!

Cons: No Mistake this is not enthusiast's RAM. This is great OEM replacment stuff for basic PC's

1 out of 5 eggsProblem with dual channel on MSI

Pros: Good price.

Cons: Would not work with MSI G31TM-P21 LGA 775 motherboard if using more than one memory module. Kept getting blue screen and wasted many hours tracking it down to these. Works fine with one (or the other) module.

Other Thoughts: might have better luck with other motherboards. I checked and these modules are not on the board's tested list (my mistake to not check, I guess).

1 out of 5 eggsHow does this have a 5 * Rating?

Pros: Unfortunately, I cant think of any.

Cons: After installing this memory in 2 new system builds both resulted in BSOD at very random intervals, as well as various windows errors and file corruption errors.

Sorry PQI, tried to give you a chance, but you messed it up. From now on I am not going to go with the RAM that is a little cheaper.

Other Thoughts: I confirmed the problem was with this memory by separating 1 stick in 1 system and 1 in the other. Both would randomly BSOD.

On one system used for hard drive imaging, I would get random blue screen errors and sometimes the system would not POST.

On my file server, it BSOD'ed 6 different times during the installation of Server 2008. After finally getting the OS installed, I would see a blue screen anywhere from 1 min to 3hrs after booting.

I then took out a 2GB stick of GSKILL from my gaming machine which has been awesomely stable, and have had no issues since installing it. It's disappointing that I have to rob memory from 1 computer to another to make it stable.

I'm waiting for my RMA to be processed so I can get a refund and buy me another 4GB set of the GSKILL which has proven to be much much better memory.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: No problems whatsoever with this RAM, have had it for almost 2 years now. Nothing but the most intense applications have stopped these. Exactly what you would expect from 4gb of 800 Dual Channel DDR2 RAM

Cons: Not free? It didn't come in an extremely fancy package? Certainly not cons, but I had to think of something.

Other Thoughts: Only time they failed on me (only because it is only 4GB) was today because i had 6 3D renders going on, had a few instances of blender open, and one of them was trying to export a few trillion triangles to the renderer. But did it work up until that point? You bet!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Works well; has been perfectly stable.

Cons: Doesn't seem to overclock particularly well, but I'm not really interested in that, so no biggie.

3 out of 5 eggsThey're okay

Pros: - Somewhat cheap for ddr2 nowadays
- Seems to work fine so far

Cons: - Box it comes in is really cheap, like falling apart plastic cheap. The sticks were falling out of the package so I'm surprised that they even work/were not bent from shipping
- the sticks feel really cheap too, like perhaps a poor quality

Other Thoughts: I haven't gotten any issues so far, but had I not gotten this as a gift from here I think I'd be complaining more.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as it should

Pros: Works great in the little rig I built for a customer. Lifetime warranty according to the box.

Cons: No heatspreaders. But for the price, I'm not complaining.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after 60 days

Pros: Good while it lasted

Cons: Purchased March 3, 2010 - worked great
May 4 2010 - 1 module failed

Other Thoughts: RMA requires me to ship the units to a US address - probabaly will cost more than the value of the RAM. Next time check out where the RMA goes maybe?
