Works great a year later
- Pros: Does what it should.
Dual channel capable.
2 GB for cheap price.
Reliable.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: Popped two sticks in my Acer Aspire 3050 and instant 4GB of memory. Never failed. Never reboots. Never locks up. From 1 - 4GB really made a speed difference. And I have a Sempron (slow) processor.
Windows only sees 3GB (32-bit limitation of Microsoft) but the dual channel speed is worth it.
So use the crucial.com system scanner and buy the fastest memory and max out your system. It's the easiest way to upgrade a laptop. One screw removes access panel and you see the chips right there. Anyone can do it.
Hit CTRL + SHIFT + ESC and see the Performance. If the memory graph goes over about 75%, your computer will slow to a crawl due to HD caching of software. Also disable 'Superfetch' Windows service.
Go Corsair!
