This dual channel kit has been tested together to work at 1600Hz at latencies of 7-7-7-20. Once the modules were tested they were immediately packaged to ensure that the matched sets stayed together.

Corsair's legendary reliability is backed with a lifetime warranty. The dual path DHX aluminum heat spreaders on the modules help to extend their life by keeping them cool. The extended chip coolers are supplemented by a PCB cooler. Both sets of coolers are finned for extra surface area. The chip coolers are ribbed for maximum cooling area. Pros: 2GB DIMMs allow 8GB total

Cons: Does not run at published speeds. Max stable speed is 1200MHz at 9-9-9-24. Won't even run 1200MHz at published 7-7-7-20 timings. Won't run advertised 1600MHz speed even at 9-9-9-24 timings using Corsair's specified 1.9v vDimm on Asus P5E3 Deluxe (X38).

Other Thoughts: Corsair refuses to issue RMA and returns a form letter asking me to "update BIOS to the latest" etc. even though I already told them in the RMA request that I had the latest 0601 BIOS. Corsair doesn't read their RMA request text or stand behind their highest-end, most-expensive set of DIMMs. Last Corsair product I will ever buy.

Great Ram

Pros: Runs at specified speed, very stable and super fast cant go wrong

Cons: you have to set timing and mhz manualy but not a problem for most

Other Thoughts: To the guy below I have a X38 board and had to set the FSB up to reach 1600mhz.

Fast... For A Price!

Pros: Beautifully finished aluminum heatsink and proprietary PCB. Very fast and tight timing with CAS Latency: 7-7-7-20. Run and play very well on my Asus P5E3 Premium WiFi @ n mother board (intel X48 board). These Corsair RAMs are the best of the best!

Cons: Price! Very expensive since DDR2 are still mainstream. I paid $505.00 for these over this summer. Now, these are over $100.00 below what I have paid... kinda sucks if you're an enthusiast.

Other Thoughts: These module of Corsair are only capatible with Intel X48 chipset and the a few Nvidia chipsets. Do your homework and check for the qualifying mother boards that support these RAMs with this CAS Latency. Example: Intel X38 chipset does not officially support these RAMs... hence, one must resort to overclocking the FSB frequency in order to obtain a 1:1 bus-ram ratio.
You MUST input the CAS Latency (7-7-7-20) in the BIOS manually. I hope this bit of info clear up some of the frustrations for everyone.

Pros: I don't know why others are complaining about this RAM. I have an Asus Striker 2 Extreme motherboard and my 2 x 2 GB (7 7 7 20) kit is working great on it with no issues whatsoever. As one of the guys here said I did have to set the timings myself as the board actually required 1066 but can go uo to 2000. At any rate I have always used corsair RAM throuhout the years and have never had a bad stick ever. You definately get what you pay for and to me Corsair stands for quality...

Cons: none whatsoever

Wrong SPD

Pros: Nothing good to say

Cons: The SPD does not match the memory. Very expensive to exchange for proper SPD.

Other Thoughts: Newegg should not offer this memory.

This memory is 100% tested and guaranteed to operate at its rated specifications on motherboards that support this memory speed.
