The fastest ship in the ocean just got faster. Corsair's XMS3 modules take performance to the next level and beyond. This dual channel kit has been tested together to work at 1333Hz at latencies of 9-9-9-24. Once the modules were tested they were immediately packaged to ensure that the matched sets stayed together.
Corsair's legendary reliability is backed with a lifetime warranty. The dual path DHX aluminum heat spreaders on the modules help to extend their life by keeping them cool. The extended chip coolers are supplemented by a PCB cooler. Both sets of coolers are finned for extra surface area. The chip coolers are ribbed for maximum cooling area. Win the race with Corsair XMS3 memory modules.

check mfgr SPD specs before buying
- Pros: Corsair... DDR3... 1333MHz capable...
- Cons: The SPD registers are not programmed for 1333Mhz, 9-9-9-24, or 1.5V memory. Check Corsair's specs on it, it clearly states this. The SPD is set up for 1066MHz, 7-7-7 latency, and 1.7V. So if you don't have a mobo that lets you manually set this stuff and your mobo requires 1.5V modules (like a Supermicro C2SBX) you are probably not going to like these modules.
- Other Thoughts: The devil is in the details...
Opened ticket with Corsair, they actually recommended against buying the modules.
No idea why they didn't program the SPD's for the settings they are rating the product at. They set the SPD's on the 2GB (2x1GB) version of these kits correctly, and the 1GB modules work fine in my C2SBX.
I don't overclock, not interested. Just want a matched pair of 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz 1.5V modules I can put on my board. I'm still looking........
Operated as Expected
- Pros: This is fast memory achieving 70-75% of estimated bandwidth on an EVGA 790i Ultra with Intel Q9650 at stock speeds (3.0 GHz).
- Cons: First chipset fell apart when I took it out of the package. The heatsink just came off in my hands. It appeared to have been glued on in a faulty manner. NewEgg was great with the RMA! Thanks.
- Other Thoughts: The ram came up as 7-7-7-20 at 1033Mhz and 1.5V. Had to manually set to 9-9-9-24 at 1333 MHz and 1.7V. At the lower voltage/speed, the memory was unstable, but it has been rock solid since. This isn't a biggie, but you need to know to do it, otherwise you will just get frustrated. The NewEgg forums are great!

Expensive, but nice
- Pros: -Awesome looking Ram
-DDR3 -I never have exceeded my 4gigs of ram yet while running many apps.
- Cons: Haha, don't get confused while putting it in ;)
- Other Thoughts: System:
9500 gt 1g DDR2 Intel Dual-core 2.5GHz etc, etc
EXCELLENT
- Pros: plugged it in an intel dp45sg, turned it on, loaded xp 64 bit and haven't looked back. After some of these reviews I was worried, so I checked it in the BIOS and it's 9-9-9-24 just as advertised. no crashes, hang-ups or BSOD.
THanks Newegg for a great deal
- Cons: shouldn't have bought another 4gb's..oh well I can always do that.
No Issues!
- Pros: Stable. No lock ups, freezes or mysterious lagging. I've bought Corsair before and they've yet to let me down. Great customer service, friendly and informed.
- Cons: Seems more memory than I needed. I've yet to play a game that exceeds 2 gigabytes of memory. Then again I may not be reading things right. In any case, I'm glad I have as much as I do. I wouldn't change it if I could do it over again. It's better to have more just in case.
- Other Thoughts: This is the memory for serious gamers like myself. I play Fallout 3, Call of Duty games, Dragon Age, Sims 2/3, for ridiculously long hours. I've yet to see issues arising from these chips. I've read other reviews, some of which are bad...all I can say is that I built my own system on an anti-static mat with anti-static wristbands. I was also wearing nothing but boxer shorts and a surgeons mentality. There was no way to shock the chips. If they weren't working thereafter, then yes there was something wrong with the material. But as is, they're working flawlessly. I trust Corsair and will continue to do so in the future.
