4 out of 5 eggsCorsair XMS2 8gb RAM. DDR2

Pros: This set of 4 8gb RAM lasted me 4 years with absolutely no trouble. They worked perfectly from the get go. Time to upgrade my system and now ill be using them on another system that needs an update.

Cons: . none. easy install. no issues.

1 out of 5 eggsgood riddance

Pros: lasted for a year

Cons: one of my died sticks which caused my comp to freeze and BSODS. Did a memtest on the rest of my 6 gigs of ram. They were all faulty and in the verge of being casualties. My old pc3200 lasted longer than 5yrs. I was a loyal corsair owner.. Now its time for a "DIVORCE"....

Other Thoughts: There are better quality rams out there... Unfortunately Corsair's level has been a disappointment

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: For the last five years all I have purchased is Corsair memory, and I'll continue doing it for several more! Doubled my memory from 4GB to 8GB with this kit to facilitate the new Adobe Cs5 to the maximum effectiveness (as a website developer and graphic designer, having photoshop, dreamweaver, firefox and thunderbird can be a hefty memory load). The built in heatsinks work wonderfully.

Newegg was fast as ever and ultra helpful with understanding my bank's daily purchase limit...

Cons: If you don't have a big case, these sticks are pretty tall. And now I have four 1GB laying around...

Other Thoughts: Would definitely purchase again.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: relativly fast, i've had no problems with it. Works well with asus motherboard, q6600. Windows 7 performance rating of 7.1 on this ram.

Cons: I bought this 2nd hand, and I'm disgusted with corsairs warranty. They fail to mention that "lifetime" warranty isnt actually covered unless you're the original owner. All other brands honor it regardless, however i'm done purchasing corsair products.

Other Thoughts: Good ram, bad company.

1 out of 5 eggshmmm what ram is this

Pros: heat sinks?

Cons: - Died after using it for about 2 months, 2 of the 4 sticks went bad.
- The ID on the chips them selves, CM2X2G6400C4DHX is not found ANYWHERE on corsair site, and even the RMA system doesn't recognize it.
- Getting the correct BIOS setup information for my mother board was non-existant. Using the corsair forums really produced little help on how to properly setup the RAM timings with the ASUS MOBO. ASUS wanted to set timings to 5-5-5-18, the actual timings on the chip is 4-4-4-12. Also ran into other weird questionable behavior with the chips, and got advice to boost NB voltage and a few other things I have no idea aobut and could not even find in the bios settings for advanced tweakage.

Other Thoughts: I have started RMA process with corsair.. will see how it goes.

5 out of 5 eggsBest quality DDR2 memory I've dealt with.

Pros: If you're looking for 8GBs of DDR2 memory and want the best performance. I'm pretty sure this is the best you're going to find. The build quality alone was shocking. I've been a long time PNP/Patriot brand memory buyer. But I've had the 2nd set of ram go bad after warrantying it two times before. I question their quality control now. Because their memory lately has been horrible. And I do no overclocking.

Corsair seems to be the best in the business with reliability and quality. I'm extremely happy with my purchase now that I've decided to stick with my current AM2 processor PC. I can run Aion and Crysis on pretty much max settings at a high resolution.

System build is...

AMD Athlon X2 6000+ (Overclocked to 3.4GHZ)
8GB of this memory.
2x Nvidia GTX 8800+
Windows Vista 32 Bit

It's a great computer, very happy with everything in it. Everything is liquid cooled as well.

Cons: The price seemed a little high. I could of saved 30$ buying it elsewhere (wont name where). But I am a long time Newegg customer and am willing to pay to give them the business, because I ussually save much more with them. Plus they are hassle free when it comes to exchanges/returns/credits/shipping. The company is truley a great one.

Other Thoughts: Scores a 5.9 on Windows rating. Obviously. Stays very cool as well.

5 out of 5 eggsOHHH yeah!!!

Pros: Great great stuff, this is a well rounded product, very good RAM kit seriously. Heat syncs on top keep it very cool, 4 slots keep it levels, and runs smooth as a babies buttocks!!!

Cons: Zero complaints it's good stuff!!!

Other Thoughts: Slipped right it, isn't to large for my other mods, stays cool a fresh, haven't been able to push it over 5 gigs, and believe me I tried REAL hard to. Wish my Mobo could handle more so I could get more Gb's or even more DIMM slots to add 2 or more of these in there. seriously, if you have a 240 pin, 4 DIMM slots with DDR2 memory storage on your motherboard, buy this and never look back!!!

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair's the BEST

Pros: The full 8GB Works great at rated 800Mhz speed 4cas. Works Awesome at 1066Mhz 5cas. Overclocks easily!

Cons: absolutely none!

Other Thoughts: You just can't go wrong with Corsair. These are installed in a BFG 680i SLI w/Q6600, to replace 4GB set of OCZ(4x1GB) Platinum - which will only run at 800Mhz, cannot be pushed any higher w/o extreme loose timings > 9cas. I have used several brands of Memory - OCZ, Geil, Patriot, Crucial, and Kingston - mostly because they are cheaper. None of them can compare to Corsair when you want solid, stable, reliable RAM!

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair = Quality

Pros: Product came fast and nicely packaged. Installed one at a time to play it safe and wanting to boot. No problems till I got to the 4th stick and error came up...not sure what the issue was but powered down and swapped dim3 and dim4 then system booted and was reading 8175 gigs ram. All good and can really tell the difference between the 6 gigs of samsung ram (started out cheap with my system).

Cons: Paid $179 .... hurt for a minute

Other Thoughts: Intel Q9450 @2.66
Gigabyte
GTX260
Corsair 1000psu
RAID configured drives WDx2
23" DELL monitor (awesome picture for everything)
....this memory completed all i wanted to do to this system. Eveything rocks!!! Game on....

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Perfectly matched set (same #s) Used them in an old M2N32SLI with a FX62 running @667, Pre set BIOS, snapped in memory, installed Vista 64 bit Home SP1, no errors, no crashes, (scores 5.9 @667)

Cons: No Cons, just some nice high quality memory, remember AMD+4 slots = 667mhz

Other Thoughts: I watched Vista cache all 8 gigs when down loading and installing SP2 through the Task Manager! Next computer build will be with the 16 gig package for 64 bit.
