Question 1

I have 2 sticks of Ram which equal 4 GB and I want to add another 4. My motherboard can take up to 8 GB. I already have Corsair xms3 DDR3, 1333 MHz, 4 GB 2x2GB 1.60v, 9-9-9-24, and I want to know if this one at 1.65v will be compatible. I have already purchased and had to return RAM twice at Amazon because it would not work. I accidentally bought a higher speed the first time but this last time I bought RAM that is 1.5v rather than 1.6v (which is what I have) and my OS would not boot. So I assume the voltage must be the same for it to work, correct? If so, then will this one work as it is 1.65v and not 1.6v like mine?

The voltage and speed must be exactly the same to make it work. It is highly recommended that on top of those metrics you actually only usr identicle sticks, all the way down to batch number.  That being said, I did exactly what you are attempting - matched 2x of these sticks with 2x of DDR3 I bought back in 2008 and it seems to be working. I lost the standby ability on my 64bit Vista build, and occasionally (1-2x per week, out of 60+ hrs in use gaming) the entire system locks up, but it works.  My mother board is only speced for 4x 1gb sticks or 2x 2gb sticks, but I am running 4x 2gb sticks, with mismatched sets of 2.

Yes it should based on stats. Reviews say the MB can be somewhat finicky with memory though so your mileage may vary. Also your MB only has 2 ddr3 slots, so this would be your max memory unless you replace them later, so make sure 4GB is enough for your needs.

Question 3

I intend to replace my existing system memory , which runs at 1.5V with this memory which runs at 1.65V. Will a motherboard typically support the extra 0.15V or is there a danger of the motherboard overheating? Also, if the motherboard only recognizes speeds of 1333Mhz, will this memory run at that 1333mhz speed or will the motherboard reject this memory sticks. Thanks.

Honestly I am not sure how to answer your question. The memory compatibility depends more on the motherboard you're using than the memory itself. Most modern boards have a compatible memory list on the manufacturer's webpage that can tell exactly what will work with your board. That's how I ended up with this memory in the first place. Sorry if this isn't very helpful; good luck with the search for new components.

Question 4

I've selected the Corsair XMS memory, model CMX4GX3M2A1333C8, to add memory to a Dell studio XPS 435 MT.  This Dell model didn't show up when I used the Newegg memory tool.  Can someone please verify that this Corsair memory will work in the Dell desktop?  Thank You.

Run it !!
Corsair RAM is the best.  I've used Corsair in all my builds. Just make sure it's the correct DDR3 the mobo is built to run !!
