1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Cheap, high capacity for a single stick.

Cons: Didn't work with my mobo msi 770 c45, the corsair website didn't list my motherboard so their "memory finder" was useless to me.

Other Thoughts: Didn't work for me, could have been the motherboard / memory combo, though I have 3 other sticks of the same latency and speed. I have an MSI 770 C45, on boot I get the CMOS checksum failed, tried to load the defaults even tried underclocking it and adjusting the timings but to no avail. Tried to boot into windows and got a black screen of death followed by some blue screens of death as well, tried ubuntu to similar results. When I removed the stick things went back to normal. So I'm assuming I just got a bad stick or that my motherboard doesn't like this particular model.

5 out of 5 eggsBought Four.

Pros: Inexpensive.
Quality.
Works fine, Memtested all four of my sticks.
No issues installing or booting
Sleek, even with heat sink
Slid into place easily.
If you are worried about having a bad RAMstick it's easier to return just the bad one if you buy them individually.
I have 32GB of ram now.
7.5 out of 7.9 Windows experience Index score.

Cons: None, but for Windows 7 OS users:

Make sure if you buy more than 16GB and want to be able to use it all, that you update your OS to either professional or ultimate.

Other Thoughts: Seeing as buying packs of ram was so expensive for so-so quality ram, I looked around at the single sticks and found this to be my best bargain from new Egg or any other Ram retailer. I ordered and NewEgg got my package to the USPS in my town in just over a day. Considering I ordered the free 4 day shipping I was pleased.

Opening up the four boxes I received, I couldn't resist putting all four in at once and seeing if she would boot, as some computers have a hard time with. All of it worked and was recognized right away. testing it with Memtest's boot program they all passed with flying colors. I was so happy I wouldn't have to send any back, as I was worried. The plastic shell container even provided an easy and reusable storage for my old 2GB sticks of ram.

I am completely please

2 out of 5 eggsLasted 5 Months Then .. DEAD

Pros: Great for the price.

Cons: Bought these for a Biostar A880G+ back in April, 2012, and realize they are not on the "approved RAM" list for that mobo, but didn't have another way to get 16GB on there for as low cost as these Corsairs.

Suffice to say, the past week I've been having BDOD's about every 3 hours. Just ran MemTest and its about 1/2 way through the test ... 123k errors so far.

Will be picking up some G.Skill's that are on my mobo list. RAM was great when it lasted, but only 5 months of use then they die?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're sorry you ran into issues with your system, although this specific memory kit may have not been appropriate for your motherboard we do have a Memory Finder on the Corsair webpage that will find a better match for your motherboard. If you'd like you may contact our Customer Service Department at 888-222-4346 and we could discuss a solution to your issue.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Fast, decent price, hasn't failed yet. Bought four sticks seperately and they are all playing nice with each other, I don't know if that's an issue in the 21st century, however.

Cons: Almost threw away one of the four sticks I ordered because it got buried in the swamp of packing peanuts, but that's my fault. Always double-check the box before you put it out.

Other Thoughts: I ordered 4 sticks to max out my motherboarrd's supported memory (32). Slightly overkill, but hey, futureproof!

Cons: Didn't work. Day 1, installed, no boot.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully just a bad stick. I've had similar problems through Newegg before.

4 out of 5 eggsOK, but not what I needed

Pros: Gives you the 16GB upgrade option if you only have 2 slots, the stick I received worked fine.

Cons: I purchased this by mistake, not noticing that it was a single stick. It's a con only because I didn't expect Corsair to be selling them this way and didn't look at the details.

Other Thoughts: I know matching RAM for Dual Channel isn't that difficult, but I wouldn't do it unless I had to (e.g. an upgrade for someone who already had one stick installed). I have almost always ordered a dual channel kit so there isn't the guesswork/homework.

5 out of 5 eggs32GB ALL THE WAY

Pros: Confirmed to work with Biostar TA870U3+ (rated only 16GB!!) and 32GB rated ASRock A75 Pro4-M mobos.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: How many other budget mobos do 32GB and lie about it?
