2 out of 5 eggsQuality Control Issues

Pros: Inexpensive. Great when it works.

Cons: Quality Control Issues

Other Thoughts: One of the two sticks I got was defective right out of the box, according to Memtest. Another stick just went bad after close to a year, something which I've fortunately never had happen before. Corsair was great about replacing the first stick and will hopefully be just as good about replacing the second one, but it's still a hassle.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: Fast, cheap.

Cons: BIOS didn't recognize full speed and had to be manually set, but that's probably not the RAM's fault.

Other Thoughts: Could have bought 2 of these to max out my memory, but figured 16GB is plenty for now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: - Pleasant looking and easy to install
- Got this during a shell shocker deal, making all this memory one heck of a deal
- Good quality memory with fast speeds that were easily set in my BIOS

Cons: - No issues with the memory at the moment!

Other Thoughts: At the normal pricetag, I'd be more hesitant to purchase this, but that's nothing against the memory. Good RAM from a good company!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: *Great Performance
*Great Price
*Easy to overclock
*Short Heatspreaders

Cons: Testing takes a long time?

Other Thoughts: Don't worry when your motherboard reports them at a lower speed than advertised. Almost all high end RAM is underclocked by motherboards to 1333 by default. If you've got a good board, it should be pretty easy to fix in BIOS.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Cheap 16 GB memory from a trusted manufacturer.

Cons: Had to manually set speed as others have reported. Not incredibly difficult to do with my MSI board.

2 out of 5 eggsImproperly programmed SPD

Pros: On sale... so cheap, high capacity, no overly large heat spreader.

Cons: I'm a computer professional, but I haven't put together a PC in some time. I built an Ivy Bridge i5 with an Intel Z77 motherboard. When I built the PC, I saw that the memory was set to 1333. No big deal I thought, I'll just use the XMP profile to get 1600.

This is where the problem started. There is no XMP for 1600. They have a XMP for 1400, which has the 11 tCL, but the clock frequency is wrong (700 results in 667). I used this for some time and was stable enough, but I was essentially underclocking my memory!

I tried looking online to find the proper settings, but the manual settings panel in my BIOS had 13 separate timings and I could not find anywhere online to find these.

Finally, I tried setting the clockspeed manually to 800, then copying the timings from the XMP-1400 profile. Things seem to be stable at 1600 now. I am using the Windows 8 memory stability test, so I should probably try the memtest 86 overnight to be sure.

Other Thoughts: The XMP-1400 profile was the same in the BIOS and in CPU-Z, so I'm pretty sure the BIOS wasn't at fault.
