5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Used two of these to replace 256MB in an older PC. Couldn't find any info on compatibility for that MB, but this memory worked fine. I will update after I set up the computer and test it for a while

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If you need them - get them

4 out of 5 eggsWoke up the ol' computer

Pros: Relatively cheap memory upgrade

Cons: None noted.

Other Thoughts: Purchased two of these as the 256 MG of memory in the ol' Dell that I dusted off to use after my HP desktop died wasn't quite cutting it . . . threw in two of these to give me 1 GB of memory and while still not blistering fast (and not that I expected it with an old computer) going on line and checking things out is no longer an agonizing chore.

Bottom line . . . for about $30 the ol' Dell has been giving a little more life until I figure out what I want to purchase to replace the HP desktop.

Main reason for writing this review honestly . . . I was very pleased with the wicked fast shipping on this product. Surprised actually at how fast it arrived. Will definitely consider ordering again from NE.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I don't think you can go wrong with Corsair

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these for my mother, her desktop PC only had two 256MB sticks, and we all know 512MB's of total RAM doesn't cut it these days so I upgraded her with 1GB of total RAM. Excellent product though.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM for a old PC

Pros: Great RAM. Put new life in a old PC. Fast enough.

Cons: Not DDR2 or DDR3. But that's written on the label, right?

Other Thoughts: Using 2 in an Untangle Box. Working great, passed MemTest 3 times.
For those griping about "value select", it's written BOLD on the pictures. Sure, not in the title, but any person educating themselves is going to look. Or just curious enough. Plus, it was next to the cheapest RAM on the market. You expecting gold?

1 out of 5 eggsNot as Advertised

Pros: Don't know as of yet

Cons: Received VALUE SELECT memory. This is NOT as advertised. Hopefully I will not have any problems with 2nd rate memory. Have used Tiger Direct in the past and have NEVER been substituted like this. I just re-checked the item and still do not see "value select"

Other Thoughts: Do NOT appreciate the "switcheroo"

5 out of 5 eggsMakes my old PC run smoother.

Pros: Replaced my single 512kb stick with 2gb of this stuff and we are now surfing the internet faster than ever.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The machine I'm running is a turn of the century Dell. Not sure if my PC was being a bit picky, but the sticks were having some issues getting into the slots entirely. After a moment of fidgeting, I was able to get them in and start the computer up just fine.

2 out of 5 eggsHardware Conflicts

Pros: Good brand and tested perfect with memtest out of the box. Great price.

Cons: Causing hardware conflicts inside the computer it's installed in. Constant blue screens and unrecoverable hangs ever since installation. Removal of memory chip solves crashes.

Manufacturer Response:

Please contact Tech Support and we will be happy to assist you with troubleshooting the issue with this memory module.
