5 out of 5 eggsEsy upgrade to an old PC

Pros: It made my mother in law shut up.

Cons: It cost me $39.99 to do it.

Other Thoughts: She was complaining about her old PC not running well. I don't know what she was expecting from a ~10 year old Dell.
I upgraded her PC from 512mb to 2 Gb.

The best part, I haven't heard from her since.

Best RAM sticks EVER !!!!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks.

Pros: Works as advertised.

Cons: Doesn't install itself.

Other Thoughts: These two sticks maxed out an old Dell Dimension 2350 running as a database server at home. Yeah, Dell's docs say the BIOS only supports a gig of RAM, but that was written when 512K sticks were the biggest you could get.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram for Older PC's

Pros: Much faster than the 256 & 512MB RAM sticks that shipped with older PC's. This RAM set gives an immediate boost in performance, as well as can be expected, for these computers.

Cons: My PC didn't have the slots for two sets (4GB total) of them.

Other Thoughts: There are limited options for older computers, & I'm glad that Newegg still carries this type of RAM.

Avoid sites that sells "refurbished" RAM, often for higher prices, they don't perform as well as new RAM does.

Bought this RAM on 03/20/12 from Newegg @ it's still performing well.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap RAM for an older desktop

Pros: Works like RAM should... Max'd out an older desktop that works as my "garage" computer.

Cons: None so far.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks, but flaky

Pros: Inexpensive, functional

Cons: Since installed in a very old P4 1.6 Ghz the system has been become slightly unstable. Recovers frequently from serious system errors.

Other Thoughts: The RAM works, and it has revived an otherwise useless PC, but considering the value proposition in this case I should spent the $$ on a new PC.

5 out of 5 eggsNice upgrade for older computer.

Pros: Second set of Mushkin memory I have bought and I and both have performed flawlessly.

Cons: None, other than if your are looking for this type of memory you probably have an aging system.

Other Thoughts: My first experience with Mushkin was my new build which I got up and running the day before Thanksgiving 2011. Liked it so much that when I decided to do a final round of upgrades to 7 to 8 year old HP I went them again. I would not hesitate to buy Mushkin again. Odd thing about this being outdated memory is that I paid more for this set of 2GB than I did for 8GB for my new machine.
