3 out of 5 eggsHuh

Pros: Bought two sets for a total of 4GB. Couldn't argue with the price of 1066 ram.

Cons: Couldn't get all 4GB to run without crashing on my q6600/ga-p35c-ds3r setup. Spent a couple days working with the guys on the <m forum, and we couldn't find any settings that would remain stable at the rated speed.

Other Thoughts: 2GB ran perfect. Guess the p35c-ds3r ocassionaly has difficulty running 4x1GB sticks at 1066. Guess I was one of the unfortunate ones.

Ended up ordering the 2x2Gb 800 kit; this stuff runs AWESOME and easily OC to 1000. Guess I need to find someone to take the 4x1GB sticks off my hands now.

2 out of 5 eggsShame on Mushkin

Pros: One of the sticks worked

Cons: One of the sticks failed within four seconds running Prime 95. It doesn't look like New Egg or Mushkin is going to send me a new stick.

Other Thoughts: I sent the bad stick bad and New Egg said they can't do anything since I need to send both sticks back. After spending about $1600.00 with them I need the one stick to run my computer so I can do my job. They told me they're going to send me back my bad stick. It's already been a couple of weeks.

5 out of 5 eggs<m agnificent

Pros: Very solid, mushkin stands behind what they make and are willing to do what is necessary to satisfy customers.

Cons: Runs from warm to hot due to voltage required, make sure you have good cooling.

Other Thoughts: Do a little research before purchasing, take a look at the muskin forums and check memory and motherboard compatibility, it will save you a lot of trouble in case your board cannot handle the default 2.2 volts or higher if necessary. Mushkin responds quickly to support forums, they helped me identify a bad motherboard. <m won't disappoint you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram for the money

Pros: I have 4 sticks running @ 1100 in a GA-X38-DQ6 board (the one everyone is having problems running 4 sticks in a 32 bit system) with no issues, and no errors in memtest. Even recognized in bios as 1066. If you read the ram and box, the stock voltage for these sticks is 2.2-2.35v. So if your board's stock ram voltage is 1.8v, like mine, of course you have to up it in bios. I bought these for 113 dollars with a 50 dollar rebate. You can't beat that price ratio for DDR2 8500 and they have EPP, what more could you ask for?

Cons: Latency(s) could be a little tighter. (they are if you run them at DDR 6400. you can drop them to 4-4-4-16-1t)

Other Thoughts: My settings:
Q6600 OCd to 3.0ghz on Zalman 9500 air and stock voltage
GA-X38-DQ6 f5h bios with 4 gigs Mushkin 8500 @ 1100 2.25v
Two 2900xt in crossfire
2 WD 250gig SATAII HD in Raid0
Antec 900case with Antec 850 PSU
Vista Ultimate 32bit, recognizing 3.3gigs Ram, 5.9vista score in all categories.

2 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: My system runs stable for a little bit.

Cons: I bought 2GB with a new system. After running for a few weeks with the occasional crash, memtest failed 100+ times. I decided to get another 2GB to hold me over while I RMA'd that. That 2GB also failed! The RMA showed up a couple days ago and that memory failed worse than the other bad 4GB. I haven't modified any settings and it's running default. Pretty frustrated right now.

Other Thoughts: I play to ask for a refund from newegg and purchase something else.

2 out of 5 eggsthree out of four worked

Pros: Three of the Four sticks worked

Cons: One stick was unstable.

Other Thoughts: Mushkin was no help at all. They said to send it back after they sent me a work order number but they never sent this number after two requests. I will not buy mushkin again. Customer service is important to me. They failed. I'm now trying to return it for replcement to newegg. We'll see if they are better than Mushkin.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM, best support of any company!

Pros: I have used Mushkin RAM for the last 10 years. Always solid performers. I bought two kits of these HP2 (2x1GB) DDR2 PC8500 to use with my new gaming rig - Asus Maximus Formula mobo / Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 / Vista 64 and it works flawlessly. As far as I know, these units are 100% tested at Mushkin.

If you have a question or a problem, the Mushkin support forum gets you answers in minutes, they are unbelievable!

They will also work with you to overclock the memory if that is what you want to do, although they are very clear on where the warranty stops as far as voltage, etc.

Cons: None - buy them.

Other Thoughts: All Mushkin HP and XP modules are EPP registered, even though they aren't marketed that way - Yay!

4 out of 5 eggsRaise the voltage a bit.

Pros: Memory seems cool and very stable once I found a fix. -See other thoughts.

Cons: Just kind of annoying that it needed a tweek. But, I was this a mobo or memory issue. - See other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: Would give a 5 star rating, but I am not sure that if I was an average computer-joe I would have fixed the problem and not sent the memory back. I used this memory on a GA-P35-DS3L mobo. This memory is not on the mobo approved memory list, but I missed that making the purchase. I ended up with a memory problem. I was ready to send the memory back, but is it the memory or the mobo? I did a little research and increased the memory voltage by 0.1 Volts. This fixed the problem and the system has been stable 24/7 ever since.

1 out of 5 eggsDoesn't POST

Pros: Nice Looking heat spreaders make this ram LOOK impressive.

Cons: Fails to actually BE impressive. After an hour with Tech support, I still could not make my Gigabyte P35-DS4 post with even one stick of this. Manually set votage and timings to exact specifications listed - no go.

Other Thoughts: Kingston HyperTX worked beautifully, so I know the motherboard can handle 1066.
