5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM for a HTPC build!

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996573

Pros: I'm using this RAM on an ASRock G41C-GS. Both modules were recognized by the BIOS and are running at proper speeds with no adjustments required.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: With these modules I doubled my previous RAM capacity and I have seen significant performance increases exactly where you would expect. I used to have issues streaming 1080p content on youtube and having several web browser tabs open... but not any more.

These modules are at an amazing price for a very functional HTPC. I will absolutely buy these again if the need arises.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for choosing Mushkin.
We appreciate your feedback and support.

5 out of 5 eggsThese were the sticks I was looking for

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996573

Pros: Worked as advertised. Helped bring back a system from the depths of hell.

Cons: It doesn't make that system transform and roll out. Actually, I guess that's a pro since I don't want to chase it around, but I have to write something here.

Other Thoughts: I ordered two sticks of 2GB each, giving my system 4GB or RAM. However, each stick was labeled 2x2GB lol, that's a little silly. I guess I could scratch the "2x" and avoid any potential confusion in the future.

These were about the only sticks sold by Newegg that would enable an Inspiron 560 to work since the motherboard cannot take more than 2GB on each stick. If I wanted to, I could order two more of the same and give my machine 8GB of RAM, but it's going in the living room for my mom to watch YouTube and the occasional photo slideshow or k-drama my sister shows her lol.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat's to say? It's RAM, it works

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996573

Pros: It was cheap, and it works.

Cons: It's only 533Mhz, but great for a mining rig or something similar.

Other Thoughts: Turned my mining rig into a workstation. I've still got this in there with faster and larger sticks of RAM (total 20GB) because I run a lot of VMs. Will probably swap out for 2x 8GB or even 2x 16GB with a faster clock in the future, but for now it's not slowing me down.
