5 out of 5 eggsMushkin wins again

Pros: Great RAM...solid and reliable.

Cons: Very wide so narrow banks force you to have the chips touching each other.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Ram but too wide

Pros: Stays cool to the touch under high load. I ran Memtest to check for errors and while i found none, after an hour of testing i could easily pull these chips out without trepidation. i have them at 5 timings at around 1050 mhz with no problems.

Cons: I have a Foxconn x38a and i cannot fit two of these next to each other, which is a shame as i am running windows 7 64 bit and have been running into memory issues with Crysis and wanted to upgrade to 8 gigs. I cant do this though as i would have to sand down the sides of the heatsinks to get them to fit.

Other Thoughts: So if you want to overclock then i would say these are a great option, they may be more then other chips but it has been worth it for me. However if you plan on expanding to 8 gigs someday be weary that your motherboard may or may not be able to accommodate you.l

Manufacturer Response:

Greetings. If you are having problems fitting two Ascent modules side-by-side, you may want to try running one Ascent kit and one non-ascent kit (996580). If you would like to trade out one of your Ascent kits for its non-Ascent equivalent, please contact Mushkin Support (support@mushkin.com).

Thanks for choosing Mushkin!

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT MEMORY MUSHKIN ROCKS

Pros: Runs extremly fast out of the box without changes to current settings. I had to RMA my previous memory to Mushkin. They replaced the memory without a problem and upgraded me to ASCENT since my current XP2 had been discontinued. GREAT Customer Service I could not be more satified with all my Mushkin purchases to date.

Cons: NONE AWESOME MEMORY

Other Thoughts: not only does it run stable and fast but it is great looking memory also. Runs at lower voltage then previous memory but still just as stable and fast.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Memory

Pros: Solidly built, runs to specs with no issues.

Cons: Absolutely None.

Other Thoughts: I have this linked and synced with my e8600 at 400FSB (so 800 for the memory) with 4-4-4-12 timings at 2.0 volts, and its running great. I went through 12 hours of Prime95 combined test and 6 hours of Memtest and all is well.

Great memory.

4 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Runs fast, looks cool.

Cons: It din't want to run on P5N-E SLI (5 min it works and then blue screen) before I had to change timing setting and voltage in BIOS manually.

Other Thoughts: Other than trying to figure out how to make it work on my motherboard I love it. And since I have Vista and I had 2 GB..I can feel huge difference.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed!

Pros: Performs as advertised and then some! OC'd to 1000MHz on my Asus board. This stuff is still cool to the touch even overclocked. Mushkin did an amazing job on these heatspreaders.

Cons: I didn't buy 8 gigs.

Other Thoughts: Going to keep pushing and see how far they will go. Seems like the sky is the limit with Mushkin parts!

5 out of 5 eggsIt's amazing

Pros: Blazingly fast!

I love it, I went from some other performance ram which I sold to my roommate for the dirt cheap to this and I gained a good amount of speed. Especially under Vista 64bit. I recommend it to everyone.

Cons: It dosn't do my dishes.

Other Thoughts: buy eet!
