4 out of 5 eggsLast Leg

Pros: Faster and larger then the memory I had before this upgrade. Price was good too.

Cons: No heat spreaders.

Other Thoughts: I would have preferred factory installed heat spreaders, but nothing a little after market DIY work didn't fix. Going from the 800mhz to 1066mhz was fun.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply works

Pros: Worked perfectly with an older gigabyte mobo. Finally gave me a chance to upgrade from windows XP to Win 7 and make use of the 1066 speed.

Cons: Price, seems that price jumped quite a bit from the last time I had looked up this ram, but I guess that's my fault for waiting so long.

Other Thoughts: To all those who are having problems with gigabyte mobos, I had a fair amount of trouble achieving full speed of my upgraded CPU and this RAM.

The culprit was non-other than the (get this) "up-to-date" BIOS I decided to flash in seeing as the description mentioned "better compatibility for overclocking to 1066" only for it to get rid of the option to overclock and down throttle my CPU to 1.6 ghz when the original speed of it is 2.4 ghz.

Turned out the BIOS version it had come with originally was the only one that allowed me to overclock and achieve the desired speed of 1066. Don't blame the RAM, blame gigabyte for their "splendid BIOS updates"!

5 out of 5 eggsNice and Speedy RAM

Pros: Fast, works like a champ

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: Finally got around to maxing out an old 775 mb and this let me hit 3.8GHz with a Core2-Duo that stocks at 2.8GHz! On air (cooling), no less! And it doesn't sound like a helicopter taking off, either...

1 out of 5 eggsNot sure what to think

Pros: Everything arrived as advertised, however my gigbyte GA-M61PME-S2P is still reading it at 800 mhz with F7a BIOS installed. The reason I made this purchase was to have matching voltage of 1.8 V, I accidentally purchased some 2.1 V RAM that was also reading at 800 mhz. =/

Cons: Motherboard reading RAM at 800mhz.

5 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: What can you say, fast DDR2 1066.

Cons: Did not come with heat spreader, luckilly they are only $3 on an auction site I cannot name, and I can pick the color.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded my ram to squeeze more performance out of my overclocked northbridge. Added my own heatspreaders (in the color I wanted).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks!

Pros: Worked out of the box and without incident!

Cons: The packaging was a little annoying, but that's a personal preference...

Other Thoughts: I was initially hesitant to veer away from Corsair, but NewEgg didn't have anything from Corsair that matched the specs.

Would definitely add Crucial to my personal trusted manufacturer list

5 out of 5 eggsSweet!!

Pros: Worked out of the box without any setting tampering. Later adjusted Mem voltage to 1.8V as per spec, no problems whatsoever, significantly improved coming from DDR2-800 memory.

Cons: None So Far

Other Thoughts: Had 2GB before, used two kits to get 8GB, system now has room to breath. Thanks Newegg!

4 out of 5 eggs8Gigs at 800 in XP Pro

Pros: Showed up, all 8 gigs, runs stable, plays cyrsis well, the 6 core upgrade and ram upgrade jumped my FPS to 297 up 70

Cons: I am unable to configure my Gigabyte GA MA78g DS3H ver 1 to use the 1066 as t has the same voltage 1.8 and it has the AMD 6 core 3.2 t1090 processor, rated at 1066 compliance very disappointing.

Other Thoughts: I really hope a representative from Crucail can clarify specifics for unlocking the full 1066. That will be a true test of the Business ethnicity of Crucial. I look forward to your response.
