5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: Purchased to upgrade my ASUS laptop from 4GB to 8GB. Made a huge difference! Machine recognized the Dual Channel mode and boosted machines speed and video performance. Well worth it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Hard to believe RAM is so inexpensive. This is the single best upgrade you can do for your machine, be it laptop or desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine in late 2009 Mac Mini

Pros: Purchased cheap with a SSD combo. Works at rated speed in late 2009 Mac Mini which is specc'd for only PC3 8500 1066 RAM.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Mac mini is showing RAM at 1333 rather than 1066. Be sure to populate system completely with this RAM rather than mixing and matching with sticks of smaller and/or slower RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper

Pros: First, 'went to Crucial's site and had their program scan my system to find out exactly what RAM chip I had, so I could order another and double the amount of RAM in my laptop. I had one slot empty. When I found out, I then looked at that same chip over here at NewEgg which had a lower price, but a different model #? So I went back to Crucial's site and did online chat with one of their people, and asked what the difference was between the model # as given by NewEgg, and Crucial's. The guy said they are identical RAM, just marketing model numbers are different. So I bought it here for less, and paid a few bucks more for UPS 3-day shipping.

Put it inside a new HP dv4t with 2nd Gen. i5-2450, and it took all of 2 minutes. Turned on the machine, booted up, checked System Info., and everything reported as it should.

Then I ran CPU-Z utility to verify further. Great! 8GB of Ram in my laptop now!

HP wanted $120 extra for the additional 4GB Ram! Do it yourself and save!!!

5 out of 5 eggsNote for Hannspree Netbook owners

Pros: Worked in my Hannspree SN12E2 Hannsbook netbook.... but there's a catch.

Cons: Slightly slower (0.2 pts) in the Windows experience index score compared to the stock 2GB memory module that it replaced.

Other Thoughts: Be careful about ordering memory for the Hannspree SN12E2 netbook. The earlier versions took DDR2 memory and later ones use DDR3. They're all called SN12E2, so the only way to be sure of the right memory is to open the back and see which module is in there. If you search around the net, it's apparent there's a lot of confusion out there about this fact.
