5 out of 5 eggsAmazing RAM!

Pros: It really is a great replacement for my 8GB stock RAM that came with my Dell XPS 8300. I bought 2 packs of these (16GB total) and I love it everyday! Works fast, never have problems.

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded from 4gb

Pros: Cheap, Cheap, Cheap.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Not a con for the product but my PC would not POST with the DIMMS installed. I had 1066 memory that I removed for the upgrade. Had to update my BIOS to get the PC to POST and then boot.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Uses Micron chips. Low voltage, so no heat. Inexpensive. No muss, no fuss; plugged in and it works as advertised. No bulky heat spreaders.

Cons: None found.

Other Thoughts: Bought for spare parts, but in my test rig until needed. I've not seen the need to overclock this. Gains from overclocking RAM tend to be minimal; I prefer the equally minimal power savings from this being low voltage RAM. Absence of visual flair is meaningless to me. I'll take a row of little Micron logos over a gaudy heat spreader covering junk any day.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked without a hitch!

Pros: My build booted up without any problems whatsoever

Cons: None Yet.

Other Thoughts: I don't do anything special like overclocking. I have used crucial ram on other builds, and like always, they have been superb memory modules.

1 out of 5 eggsOne stick failed after 3 mos

Pros: reasonable price, worked well out of the box

Cons: Tested when new with memtest86 and both sticks were without error and ran perfect for 2 months but PC started with hangs and BSOD. Testing revealed one stick repeatedly failed testing.

Other Thoughts: Never had memory go bad before, not sure I'd buy bargain memory again

1 out of 5 eggsOne stick failed after 5 months

Pros: Ran fine for 5 months

Cons: I started getting some memory errors a couple months ago, the computer would take a while to load on start up, soon messages would pop up that I had ran out of ram, finally the last two days I was getting blue screens and page file errors. I swapped the ram around and the comp refused to boot with the one stick. I am ordering another set from a different manufacturer. This time with heat spreaders though I am not ocing the ram in any way.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Thanks you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that our memory was causing any issues. We offer a limited lifetime warranty on our DRAM and at Crucial we fully stand behind the quality of our products. Please contact us at 1-800-336-8915 or use our website to assist with an RMA if necessary.

Regards,
Crucial
