5 out of 5 eggsOnly had it for a day so far...

Pros: As I read on a review on the web... you can run these bad boys at 1.25v 8-8-8-24 1t

Cons: The head spreaders are literaly attached RIGHT on the ram chips that are on the pcb...
DO NOT press down on the heat spreaders...
I've made this mistake years ago and ripped off ram chips from the pcb.

These sticks make it very difficult to push down on the outside where the pcb is exposed. My guess is it's because it's L ram (low pro... very small height).

Just be careful installing.

Other Thoughts: When I put my PC together I had the following:
Asrock z97e itx/ac mb
i5 4690 (3.5 - 3.9 turbo)
2x8gb GSkill Trident 7-8-8-24 1T @ 1600mhz 1.56v
Crucial MX100 256gb sata III SSD
Corsair CS450M PSU

I don't know what happened to me recently, but I've been caring more about packing a punch from a PC minus all the unnecessary watt consumption....

I ended up selling my 4690 CPU to my friend and buying a 4690T (also a quad core, that only has a TDP of 45w!) 2.5ghz with turbo of 3.3ghz.

Benchmarks barely notice the difference. Maybe overall this cpu is about 18% faster. But I'm not encoding any videos (yet) so I don't really care.
I could have gotten a 35w TDP 4670T dual core with HT, but figured for another 10w why not future proof it a bit since prices were similar.

I also ridded of my Mini ITX GTX760 that pulled 200w on full load. Got a Mini ITX GTX950 that now takes a 6 pin instead of 8 and has a ~90w TDP i believe.

Even sold the GSkill TridentX 1.5v DDR3 1600mhz 7-8-8-24 1T ram for crucial 1.35 DDR3L 1600mhz 8-8-8-24 1T ram and run them at 1.25v.

PC used to pull 300w on full load of GPU and CPU... now it wont even get to 200w and it gets better FPS.

What a difference.

Now looking to eliminate my LCD screens that take up 280w while all 3 are on for some LED backlits that take up 80w total for 3.

Wish they had a 80Plus Gold Modular PSU that was 300w... my CS450m is now too much for my mini ITX.

5 out of 5 eggsReasonably priced, stable, reliable RAM

Pros: Product arrived quick without any issues. Easy to install and once configured in the bios ran memtest without any issues. I had to adjust a few settings in the bios to get my mobo to accept the 1600 timing reliably. First few attempts would not boot so I had to break down and bother to review my manual. It was an older mobo and seemed to prefer to run with 1333 instead of 1600 like this memory is rated for but with a few tweaks everything worked out perfectly. With a newer mobo I'm sure this will work right out of the box without issues.

Cons: None that I found, but honestly I've never had problems with crucial products

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: My mainboard was only able to get these up to 1400 .. so did not test at 1600
at 1400 was able to get CAS 7-7-7-23 at 1.35 V

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Verdict: would buy again

5 out of 5 eggsLower Voltage

Pros: Shorter profile, fits better with CPU cooler and blocks less air.

Lower voltage. This really does work. I lowered the voltage in the bios after installation and never had a hiccup since.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsGood product after promotion

Pros: 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 latency 1.35V AFTER overclocking manually with XMP profile #1. 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 1.50V after overclocking with XMP profile #2. 1300MHz 9-9-9-24 1.50V with JEDEC profile.

Cons: Base frequency is not 1600MHz but 1300MHz with 9-9-9-24 latency with JEDEC profile. I had to change the frequency manually in BIOS to overclock them. Why should I overclock them to get advertised speed?

Other Thoughts: I purchased two 8GB modules as a promotion, which was cheaper than any other DDR3-1600 CL9 modules. So I can't complain too much but I think I got what I paid for.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I love this ram, low profile and all. No problems!

Cons: I just wish the yellow strip was a neon color. I have uv led's in my case and it doesn't glow. but no eggs off for that, its not their fault. its just my picky personality :)

5 out of 5 eggsRAM for air-cooling

Pros: 1. Low profile means it fits underneath the 140 mm front push fan of a Noctua D15 CPU cooler with the fan raised slightly or fan on the RAM heat spreader.
2. Crucial says clearance is 25.4 mm but add 3 mm for DIMM slot height if doing tight calculations.
3. Runs XMP at 1.35 volts or 1.5 volts for maximum compatibility meaning making me hope I can always get it to boot. The low clearance and booting at two voltages in an 8x2 = 16g kit are what made me buy this.

Cons: 1. Not as low profile as it's cousin, the Ballistix Sport DDR3VLP 1600CL9, with a reported clearance of 18.75 mm (LegitReviews).
2. Not going to bench like 3000 MT/s RAM but with CL8 timings, reviews I read say this RAM remains good, especially for gaming.

Other Thoughts: If I knew I was getting a Noctua D15 air-cooler, I would get these stix or the Ballistix Sport. There are not many stix that are low clearance and boot at either 1.5 or 1.35 volts. So far, the XMP works great but haven't had a chance to do manual timings so can't comment there.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good ram

Pros: I think these may be Samsung "wonder ram" ic chips. These guys have been nothing but superb so far! Have them running at 2040mhz @ timings of 9-9-9-24 1t with 1.455 volts in windows (1.442) in bios. That is with 4 DIMMS for 32gigs! All other timings are in auto mode. low profile, high performance, high bandwidth game crushers. Picked them at at MC though not here. Bought them about a month apart, two 16 gig kits. I think they can go further with the full 1.5 volts in them and lax the timings some more, but that puts even more strain on them. Before going to ddr 4, I might push them a little more.

- see other thoughts for full system specs -

Cons: not really a con but they run warm at these speeds. Not the rams fault though, when ran at stock speeds the stay at ambient case temp. I have a temp sensor in between the two inner sticks, when gaming they will go from case temp (about 32c) to 46c or so. Nothing dangerous but warm. My gpu and cpu are in a water loop, on two 360 mm rads. I guess the two D.O.H.C.P settings in the bios are for motherboards that will not do 1.35 volts to the DIMMS. really if you know what you are doing, there is nothing wrong with this ram.

Other Thoughts: MB: Asus crosshair V formula Z @ 219 bus speed
CPU: AMD FX 8350 @ 4.82 ghz, cpu/nb @ 2660 and ht speed
Power supply: Corsair AX 1200
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500gb

- all in a Xigmatech Elysium

5 out of 5 eggsHAN A. try again...

Pros: Low profile.. low voltage.. easily overclocked

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: HAN A. you need to get some help building your PC.. the ram will fit in the Hero VII perfectly fine. I can only assume you don't know how ram installs or maybe you aren't aware it's keyed to go in a certain way? Also the Asus clips that hold in the ram.. only one side folds out.. it's how asus has been doing their boards for a while now. Please knock your Tech Knowledge down to LOW next time.
