5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Ram

Pros: speed, size, latency, voltage, and low profile these sticks are unbeatable in my opinion.

Cons: heat-sinks are a thin aluminum and glued on.

Other Thoughts: I normally use another brand but bought these for the low voltage, and I have only been impressed with these.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: All four cards work optimally; no discrepancies between cards
Heat Spreaders are small but effective
Some clients might regard the Heat Spreaders as professional

Cons: Some clients might regard the Heat Spreaders as bland

Other Thoughts: Had to fiddle around in BIOS to set them to the 1600, though that was expected

The package the cards were sent in is great for storing unused or older RAM cards.

5 out of 5 eggsRAM

Pros: Low profile - no higher than the clips on the slots.
Low voltage - runs cool
Low CAS

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Relatively inexpensive for 32 GB.
Very inexpensive for low profile, low voltage, AND low CAS.

5 out of 5 eggsupdated review

Pros: I have to update my earlier review of this RAM. Newegg should feel free to remove my earlier review. I earlier stated that only 3 out of 4 sticks worked. Upon further testing, I determined the problem to be my motherboard and was deceived because one particular stick seemed to not work whenever I inserted it.

However, based on what I learned, I replaced the mobo and now all 4 sticks work fine. The memory runs cool and overclocks without difficulty at stock timings. I'm still tweaking the systems but so far no difficulty at all. Current configuration includes this RAM, an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and a Phenom-II 955 moderately overclocked to 3.45 GHz. Low profile RAM fits very easily under my huge heatsink - much easier than the memory it replaces (4x2 GB Kingston HyperX). Now I can run all the virtual machines I need.

Cons: none.

4 out of 5 eggs1 bad stick

Pros: Low profile, low power required. Fits under my huge processor heatsink. Asus mobo detected it as 9-9-9-24 but got voltage right. I haven't taken the time yet to tweak for optimum performance; since one stick is bad I will wait until I have a completely functional kit.

Cons: only 3 out of 4 sticks work; 4th stick causes no post regardless of slot it is placed in. Guess I have to RMA the whole kit...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome memory. Runs cool, low timings, low profile. The top of the heatsinks are basically level with the ram clips on motherboards so pretty much any CPU cooler will fit.

Cons: I also had to set the command rate to 2T, but all other timings were correctly detected in my Asus Maximus Gene-Z. Some motherboards will need a BIOS update to work with 32gb so be sure to check that before you sell your old ram!

Other Thoughts: For a matched set of 32gb you can't do much better.

5 out of 5 eggsGood price, work great at 1600MHz XMP

Pros: This RAM appears to work as advertised. I used it to replaced a set of CORSAIR DOMINATOR GT 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Desktop Memory Model CMT32GX3M4X1866C9 sticks purchased at New Egg. The Crucial RAM is low power, has generally faster default timings, and seems to LOVE the G1.Assassin2 X79 based motherboard.

Cons: In my particular case, I found that I needed to set the command rate manually in the bios. This is likely not an issue with the XMP settings within the RAM modules but the motherboard itself. It may be an issue for you that the ram runs at 1600 MHz, as opposed to 1866 MHz as some of the faster gamer ram modules do. That said, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference when benchmarking.

Other Thoughts: These RAM sticks were pleasant surprise. They are low-power at 1.35 volts, and they run without issue at high-speed at 1600 MHz. It is probable that you could probably run the ram at higher speeds while increasing the voltage to 1.5 V. So this might actually be decent high-density chip based overclocker ram. Running a full set of tests at 1333 MHz and 1600 MHz using memtest 86+, I did not find any issues whatsoever After 24 hours worth of burn in...

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Haven't had any problems. Having 32gb of headroom is fantastic. Giving each of my VM's 4gb.

Cons: Had to set a couple timings manually.

4 out of 5 eggsSPD data not consistent with spec

Pros: After setting my BIOS to read the SPD data I got 1600 Mhz at 8-8-10-24 timing. Windows 7 memory check showed everything working fine. The memory is indeed low profile so will fit when giant CPU coolers or the like get in the way of other memory.

Cons: The specs say 8-8-8-24 timing. So why does the SPD data give me 8-8-10-24 timing? That's not a huge difference but still -- the memory should operate as advertised.

Other Thoughts: I have made no attempt to see how this memory performs if you overclock it. Nor have I had it long enough to make any conclusions as to reliability.
