I am looking into buying a Asus Z87 - Pro motherboard as well as 4770k. 
I need low profile ram for my cpu cooler but the list is limited.
 \Does anyone have this motherboard (or similar asus z87) and can you tell me it has worked?

I installed these on an Asus B75 Mle board.  I had to use the mem OK button.  I didn't realize that the board would restart a few times while the mem light would be flashing while the timings would be set up.  I thought the ram was bad at first.  After a couple of tries they started working in dual channel mode.  I don't think you will have any problems with these on a Z87 pro, which is a much better board.

Hello everyone, I am Looking to buy this memory because my pc is running slow. I am wondering, how many frames per second i would get on the mojang game called minecraft? I have a CyberPower Raidmax Super viper. My specs are below,

Your graphics card is the main problem. It's very weak; not a gaming card. It's less than half as powerful as the Nvidia gaming cards from 5 years ago. If you already have 4GB or more of DDR3 RAM, you don't need to upgrade your RAM for playing Minecraft. The only advantage it would give you is if you wanted to use mods to increase your view distance beyond what is allowed by the normal game (and this would usually only apply to single player anyway). You will see virtually no FPS benefit by upgrading only your RAM if you already have 4GB or more. If you already have 4GB of RAM or more and you upgrade to a mid-level gaming graphics card, you can expect an average of about 60 FPS or more in Minecraft with your current processor.

This is RAM (Random Access Memory) it's used up by programs to keep the computer speedy. It's not used by games much, other than to run the program. The memory that matters is from the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) AKA the video card. I have this on in 16gigs and it works great for an all purpose machine, but I built it as a gaming rig.

Yes this will do, and really when it comes to RAM, they're pretty much the same (not always, but generally yes).

Question 4

Why is this RAM cheaper than others for 16gb (2 x 8gb)?  I noticed that it does not have a "fancy" heatsink.  Is this the only reason why?

No idea, but the heat sink design for low profile, the height is half compared to most DDR3 in the market. I have been using it for 6 months run perfect can overclock easily but be careful not too high due to small heat sink.

Hi, Do you guys think this RAM would be nearly as good/fast as this RAM? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148657 Do you think I'd notice much difference between the 2 in gaming? I know 8 gigs is plenty for gaming, but I will also be helping with live streams and doing other things with my computer that require a lot of RAM. I highly doubt you'd notice the difference. For me I had a small gaming case and I really needed the space and the better airflow of this ram. If you have a big case and $20 is no big deal then go for it.

Yes, it work just fine, although I cannot provide insight on overclocking it, I run mine at stock speeds.  For what it's worth, in most cases RAM is not typically the bottleneck in a gaming rig.
