5 out of 5 eggsReliable, compatible, no hassle

Pros: Better warranty than most, if a little pricey compared to the competition. The software is superior for Trim support in WinXP (don't need it for Win 7 and above)

Cons: none, except for the price, but you get what you pay for I guess.

Other Thoughts: I would buy another one.

1 out of 5 eggsFirst SSD turns out to be garbage

Pros: I bought this drive more than three mouths ago and it hangs on windows install at 64 percent and continues two hours later and dose not install several windows system files, which causes windows to blue screen and freeze more than it runs. I had to install windows three times doing an repair intell it works, i ran intell toolbox it tells me its fine, i ran two other hardrive diagnostic utility still says its fine, but its not. intell is giving its self a bad name by selling these things, this is the prime reason why i got amd cpu, intell is garbage and overpriced go buy Samsung these are garbage don't waist your money, there is a lot of complaints on these drives all over the internet but intell dose not pull these from the market one thing is clear here, they only care about making money

Cons: it comes with a ssd bracket about the only thing that works with this thing

5 out of 5 eggsBlazing fast SSD!

Pros: This is one fast SSD! It's also served me well for over 6 months with zero issues.

It reaches advertised speeds not only with synthetic benchmarks, but also in day to day use.

I have nothing but praises for this SSD!

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: In other thoughts, be sure to install the included software. It optimizes the drive and makes a huge difference.

The included case badge is sweet!

5 out of 5 eggsIntel Quality and Reliability

Pros: Fast and reliable - perfect for RAID 0.
Link to free Acronis migration and SSD Toolbox software.
2.5" to 3.5" adapter included.
4 pin molex to SATA power connector included.
Runs so much cooler than hard drives.

Cons: Free Acronis imaging software that came the drive didn't work. That's not unexpected since I was trying to migrate from a RAID volume. No problem to do a clean Windows 7 install though.

Other Thoughts: Very pleased with these drives. Did a lot of research before deciding on a pair of these to be run in RAID 0 configuration. I didn't think that I could afford Intel, but caught a sale and, for once, chose quality and reliability over synthetic performance numbers. I expect to still be using these drives 5 years from now.

Be aware that SSDs like the Samsung 840 EVO use MLC NAND that writes 3 bits per cell (TLC), some say lowering the lifetime P/E cycles to 1,000. Samsung claims 2,500 P/E cycles. The 335 series has a 3,000 P/E cycles expectancy and three year warranty.

My research shows this drive outperforms the previous Intel 330 and 520 series SSDs and the performance is comparable to or better than other SSDs using the SandForce SF-2281 controller.

After installing, use the System Tuner in the SSD Toolbox to tweak your Windows settings for SSDs. Windows 7/8/8.1 automatically optimizes for SSDs when running a clean install. There are other tweaks for geeks you can find on the Web or you can just install and enjoy.

5 out of 5 eggsBest SSD for the price

Pros: This is my first SSD and I have to say that it is amazingly fast. Programs open in just a fraction of a second.

Cons: This is not really a con since it happens with all SSDs, but you have to limit how much data you write to the drive because each cell in the drive has a limited lifespan.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: Easy to install and great performance with no issues since I purchased them seven months ago.

Cons: None thus far

Other Thoughts: When I initially set this up was I having POST issues due to incorrect voltage settings. After some research I was able to correct the issue and it's been a rock star since. This was an issue with my pc and not the drives, but it may be worth checking out before you actually plug them in. I'm running two of these in a RAID 0 for even more performance and only have OS installed on them. I admit it may be a bit overkill for an OS-only drive, but I wanted to make sure there was plenty of open space and if one does fail and I need a quick solution I'll run the remaing drive and it will have enough space to hold my OS image.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable For Everyday Use

Pros: Comes with Drive, 3.5-inch Plate, SATA Cable, 15-Pin SATA to Molex power cable, and Acronis True Image to migrate data, which is really useful. One has yet to betray me.

Cons: The one con is the price point. This model has been replaced by the 530 series, I believe, but it still remains at the same price point as other manufacture's 240GB drives.

Other Thoughts: We use two 335s in a RAID 1 configuration to store the operating systems for a lot of our servers and desktops as well as the primary drive for most of our laptops. I have 2 in my desktop at home; it's even in my raccoon wounds. We haven't seen one fail yet. Knock on wood. I'm surprised to see people reporting failures on this drive. We use 80+ Cert Gold PSUs in all our systems to ensure stable voltage because it doesn't matter how good your SSD is, without stable voltage your data is compromised.
