Pros: Hardware and software was very easy to install and worked fine.

Cons: Windows 7 startup time does not improve much on average. About half the time, the startup process stalls for about 15 seconds while it appears to be updating the cache. The times when it does not stall, startup is faster, but on average there is no improvement. However, I would say that once started, Windows 7 and its frequently used programs, like Outlook, seem to run faster.

Other Thoughts: Would be nice to be able to configure the software to specify which programs are cached.

Pros: It's a great concept and when it works it's snappy.

Cons: It seems buggy, when my computer reboots now it hangs and the only way to power it up is to disconnect the ssd.

Other Thoughts: I will see how well the RMA process works.

Pros: Can be made to work as a standalone drive
Can boot pretty much any OS
Is cheap

Cons: Feels cheap; something inside was rattling until I mounted the drive in my case.

Other Thoughts: I was building a standalone media PC with all the movie files stored on a NAS elsewhere on a network. I needed a small, quick, quiet drive just to hold the base OS. This drive performs flawlessly. Quick boot, way too much storage for what I'm using it for, and so far not so much as a hiccup in reliability.

If you want to use this as a plain disk or a bootable device, the very first thing you want to do is wipe the disk with KILLDISK or something similar. After that, it's just a plain ol' 32GB SSD. I can't vouch for the cache-boost software as the very first thing I did was delete it. I imagine a fair number of the poor reviews stem from problems with this software.

Pros: * Inexpensive

*Smart idea

* Works very well. VERY noticeable increase in loading speeds for frequently played games and applications. I haven't seen any difference in boot times like some have stated.

* SanDisk (and/or Condusiv) has fixed their software bugs and activation process (Activation code is no longer required) and now it works like a charm.

Cons: * "Cache Monitor" doesn't make much sense to me. I don't care though, the difference in speed is noticeable so I don't feel any need to monitor the Cache while it works.

* I doubt there's any reasonable way around it, but if your system does not shut down cleanly, the caching software will reset (erase) the cache on reboot. In a way, this is a pro as well since they are obviously thinking about data integrity.

Other Thoughts: I wrote a bad review, "Is it doing anything?" some time ago, giving a mere 2 eggs.

I am re-reviewing now since they fixed the software bugs that were making the hardware almost worthless to me.

Now that I have seen this drive increasing load speeds, it is clear that the software wasn't doing it's job at all when I had written the other review. All fixed now and the difference is quite obvious.

Good job to SanDisk - It seems they were listening and now I'm a very happy customer. I would definitely recommend this drive to anyone who is using mechanical hard drives.

Pros: This is amazing, my startup time is about 5 seconds, the software is easy to setup, and this is perfect for desktops as it comes with a 2.5" to 3.5" converter. This gives you speed comparable to an SSD while still having the storage of a HDD.

Cons: Too bad it isn't bigger?

Pros: Small, Light, No Heat, No noise, Energy Efficient

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: My first SSD drive ever, easy to install because comes with brackets, boots up my PC much faster now, I don't know if I can turn back to disk hard drives now.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Note that I used this as a boot drive w/reformatting. It's speed is pretty good even being at the lower end of ssd performance. However...this little guy died after 3 months. I guess if it were a cache drive it wouldn't be a big deal...but it wasn't being used as such. I did see similar issues in a few reviews prior to buying. Next time I will listen. Got this as a freebie w/purchase of another item...so no refund for me....just wasted time.

Other Thoughts: Definitely a great improvement to my computer, but my SSD has been deleting its stored cache which gets very irritating because the cache takes a long time to build itself. I've looked up some forums and found out that other people were having the same problem as I am.

Pros: Very simple to use
Fast
Work

Cons: They don't make it any bigger than 32gig

Other Thoughts: The program you need to use this take no effort at all. Once you install it you are dune, it dues the rest.
I would like to see them make a larger one maybe a 64 or 128 for caching, only time will tell if they do that.

Pros: Faster loads

Other Thoughts: works with WIN 8, not as fast as a regular SSD drive but as a cache it does the job, when 1st install I recommend rebooting the computer at least 3 times for the cache to save the OS.
