5 out of 5 eggsexFat & XP=MS Update FIX

Pros: I can take pictures about twice as fast with this card vs the 8GB SDHC 4 memory card that came with my camera.
I'll probably be able to fit a week's vacation onto this card with room to spare if I don't use the video feature much.

Cons: Nothing tells you that you will probably have to download MS Update KB955704 in order for you to be able to view the pictures with XP & probably Windows Media Server 2003. This patch adds exFat as a usable FAT system for XP.
The lack of this simple bit of info could make a XP user think the card was bad. At best you may waste a lot of time looking for the solution.

Other Thoughts: How hard would it be to put something like XP may need MS Update KB955704 to use card.
I could view the pictures with the card in the camera, using the camera, but they could not be viewed with the camera connected to an XP computer or using a card reader until I found & installed the update.

1 out of 5 eggsCard failed

Pros: Fairly cheap for its size

Cons: The card started failing and requiring it to be reformatted after every use, deleting all the data stored on it. Worst of all it worked so well for a few months, so when it finally started failing it was use a loss of the whole card after it had been filled.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good Performance, Good Price

Pros: * Very Good Price on Sale.
* Good Speed - It actually performs like the Specs Say!
* Sturdy
* Comes with good plastic jewel case.

Cons: * Does not come in 128Gb. size.

Other Thoughts: I have been disappointed with most of the SD cards I have purchased recently. They say they are Class 10, or UHS-1, or Super Speed. When I get them and test them, they usually are Class 4 cards when you try to write to them.

About 6months to a year ago, this card went on sale and I bought one to try out. The price was inexpensive compared to other cards of similar capacity so I got one to test. Much to my surprise, the card actually performed to the specs for a class 10 card. Write to the card speeds averaged 15-17 Mb/sec and Read from the card speeds averaged about 22 M/sec using the SD card reader on my laptop with a 33 Gb file size. It's not blinding fast but certainly as fast, and in most cases much faster, than other SD cards of similar capacity I have purchased recently.

The cards went on sale again recently for less money (naturally) so I picked up four more of them. I recommend these cards as a great value. They perform excellent in a Toshiba Thrive as extended memory and also in a Nikon digital camera for taking multiple photographs quickly and digital video at 30fps.

If only they came in 128Gb capacity with equivalent or better performance. ;-)

5 out of 5 eggsBest value

Pros: Best value for a 64GB card
Speed
Known brand
readable in my Lenovo U350 SD slot

Cons: none
Incompatible w/PC's internal reader (around 2 years old)

Other Thoughts: This card is branded Polaroid by PNY, made in Korea.
It comes formated in exFat. I got it for my Canon 6D, which recognized right away. I reformated it anyway; 6D shows usable space is 59.6Gbs.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card, bought at the wrong time

Pros: I bought this card to use in my new Canon VIXIA HF M500 bought here on Newegg (Newegg item code N82E16830120612). I have not had any issues with it so far. I cannot testify to the speed because this is used in a camcorder and not a computer. I haven't had a chance to see it's true capabilities yet (see Cons for explanation.) The price is also very good, as it is cheaper than most other cards of this capacity and most likely is made of the same modules from the same factory as the competitors as well.

A nice little "feature" is the little space to write a description on the card, it's a little nicety that most manufacturers overlook.

According to the on-screen readout on my camcorder, this card gives me 5 hours 22 minutes of true 1080p60 24Mbps AVC recording time.

Cons: The greatest con of this card is it does not include a card reader. Being a SDXC card it is not readable in many "older" readers (even those only a couple of years old). Even though my camcorder is able to act as a reader, there are other applications for SDXC cards in products which do not act as readers.

As of the time of this writing I see that Newegg is offering a combo deal with an USB reader, however it does not list SDXC in the compatibility list, so it may not work with this card.

Other Thoughts: I ended up buying a Tripp Lite U352-000-SD-R USB card reader (Newegg item code N82E16820752002) to use with this card. If you take out the fact that it doesn't ship with a reader, it appears to be a very solid card and perfect for camcorders. I wouldn't recommend it for digital cameras as much cheaper 8GB SDHC cards can fit hundreds of 10MP pictures.

3 out of 5 eggsCard Error

Pros: Less expensive, fast enough, nice card.

Cons: I used this on my DSLR camera as the main card (my camera has 2 card slots). From time to time it gives me card error. I have to turn off the camera and turn on again. I hope one day it won't just die...

5 out of 5 eggsPNY SDXC card.

Pros: Works great with my Sony Cybershot. Write and read are both very fast and it formatted without a hitch.

A large step up from my older mini SD card.

Price is very reasonable for the size.

Cons: No fancy name brand that makes me feel special?

Other Thoughts: PNY has been something I try from time to time, they haven't let me down yet.

5 out of 5 eggsVery fast card, lots of space, cheap price

Pros: Very fast card, compatible with all my gear, cheap price with 10% coupon

Cons: Not as fast as rated, about 10% less than rated speeds.

Other Thoughts: I tested with onboard Intel USB 3.0 controller with latest driver 1.0.7.248, using Kingston mobilelite g3 usb 3.0 card reader. This is basically 10% slower than rated speeds. I was hoping that it would have beat the rated speeds like my other PNY cards.

Using crystaldiskmark, 50MB test size, i get 43.61MB/s Read speed, and 33.08MB/s write speed.
