1 out of 5 eggsReview update.

Pros: Still works, as long as I use the sata cable that the male part is still stuck in.

Cons: The L-shaped plastic this sits against the sata pins broke off.
RiData will not honor warranty due to "physical damage" (I unplugged it)
No more RiData/RiTek products for me EVER.

Other Thoughts: Just unplugging the sata cable and the L-shaped plastic above the sata pins came off and is stuck in the sata female part of the cable.
I have delt with lots and lots of sata drives and have never had this happen and even Googling it I couldn't find anyone that this happened to(I'm sure it must have though)

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate Good while it worked

Pros: See other review... it was fast while it worked.

Cons: Died a little over a month of having it. We will see what happens. Was working great and there was a shutdown with blue screen never worked again... with SATA or USB.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent SSD

Pros: Excellent Spec's. Own two in different computers (midtower) Loaded win 7 with no issues. Opens MS Word/Powerpoint within a blink of a eye. FAST!
Running almost a week with no issues. Makes me wonder why the last 3 reviews had so many issues.

Cons: None - Excellent SSD

1 out of 5 eggsNo Joy

Pros: price drop of $50.00; miniUSB port; nice brushed finish.

NewEgg??

Cons: Didn't Work.
Got the drive; plugged it in the mini USB port first just to see. wouldn't reccognize until I giggled the connector. So, I replaced this SSD with my 5400rpm HDD. Bios reccognized and I then installed Vista 64, process was slow and each reboot would hand at boot longer and longer. finally became no longer recognizable. removed and plugged into mini usb on another computer. not recognizable. fittled with it for 1 hour and got it to format once. Put it in external Sata enclosure, not recognizable again. I concluded this drive was faulty and called NewEgg and made arrangements for RMA. Later...and here's the kicker...Return address on the package I received the drive was from RMA Warehouse.

Erieeeeee.....

Other Thoughts: ****believe me, I gave this drive every possible chance and tried everything. My explanation may not illustrate the frustration and complexity of the entire experience...however, I can assure you this drive is faulty.

I'm going with another SSD brand. I like NewEgg and will continue to buy from here.

1 out of 5 eggsnever worked

Pros: none

Cons: PC had alot of trouble detecting drive, and we were not able to install Windows 7 OS with our shuttle. Used disk par, but would hang during os setup. Similar ADATA drive worked perfectly

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD

Pros: Easy to install
Low price (i got it for $260)
Fast, SSD
Overall Worth the price
Installed Windows w/o a Problem

Cons: Doesn't come with screws was my only problem with it, and the screws i had from my HDD was too big.

Other Thoughts: Fast Shipping, it took 2 days and i even ordered it on a Sunday.
After i installed windows 7 on it and turned off Asus express gate and the other unnecessary boot up things through the bios, i go from powered off to fully logged on in under 10 seconds!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive!

Pros: -Great price (I bought it last week when it was $260.00)
-Extremely fast (expected).
-Simple installation (but have one Con with this)

Cons: Manufacturer screws used to install stock drive didn't fit into this drive...I was lucky enough to have 4 slightly larger ones laying around.

Other Thoughts: I haven't formally benchmarked it, but did 5 test with my old drive and 5 tests with the SSD, each for start up (power on until logged in and desktop shows) and shut down. With Seagate, times went from 1:03s to :42s, shut down went from :13s to :10s. I wasn't thrilled with the results but the real show began once logged in. I couldn't believe how fast games loaded (steam), installing/uninstalling programs took, multitasking and pushing the CPU. Upgrading the drive did what upgrading RAM used to do 10 years ago...HUGE DIFFERENCE! I LOVE IT! I had a 2.5" Seagate 320GB 7200 and had Win perf scores of 4.7-4.9. Now I consistently get 6.8 with this drive. Win 7 auto disables setting to maximize performance on SSD's, and this drive supports TRIM, so no manual maintenance. I read reviews that this drive scored benchmarks in the top 10 of all drives (of all sizes)- GREAT DRIVE!

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so great!

Pros: Recieved it yesterday as scheduled...(Thanks Newegg) Installed and loaded Win7 with minor hitch...(see below) Seems faster... A 6.8 on Win7 but not sure if I have everything right yet...(it is my best stat of the series) Nice metal brushed finish... May post update later...

Cons: So far so good... Was a little affraid to buy because no reviews, no comments not enough info on manufactures site. But price (while on sale) and specs seemed worth the risk.

Other Thoughts: I did lots of research and things seem to change day by day. There was just no info on this product... I guess I should have known by the X25 in the product number what controler is in it.... But did not... I am keeping my fingers crossed and will try to download a benchmark but not that worried so far it seems great... Oh it is in my Dell XPS 1640 laptop. Good luck!
