Pros: Fine as long as it worked...not super fast.

Cons: Died lost 48GB data. Computer Management can't even see it any longer. Second such drive to die like this for me from Transcend.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after couple months light use

This review is from: Transcend JetFlash 700 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model TS64GJF700

Pros: Large capacity

Cons: I got this thing this summer. Probably haven't even transferred more than 80gb of data onto it since then. Used very lightly (considering the capacity). Plugged it into my computer today and it said it wasn't formatted. Tried to run chkdsk to no avail, tried safely removing and reconnecting a few times, and now it doesn't even work. The blue light flashes for a moment, but no computer recognizes it. It's totally useless.

1 out of 5 eggsOK...while it lasted

This review is from: Transcend JetFlash 700 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model TS64GJF700

Pros: Large capacity, low price

Cons: Short life span

Other Thoughts: This drive worked for 7 months. I initially stored about 16GB of data on it. Months later, I erased it and copied about 55GB of data to it. One week later it was dead. I had a back up copy of the data so I did not freak out over it. I would never buy this drive again.

1 out of 5 eggsTwo Strikes and your OUT!

This review is from: Transcend JetFlash 700 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model TS64GJF700

Pros: Price, Capacity & Size

Cons: Price (you get what you pay for I guess)
It gets Amnesia

Other Thoughts: Apparently the word "Flash" in this Flash Drive means, Everything is gone in a "FLASH"!

Twice now this memory stick has lost it's formatting, reverting to a non-traditional exFAT Format and everything is GONE. Darn good thing I am religious about backing-up my flash drive but this puppy is going back!

4 out of 5 eggsSleek and durable

This review is from: Transcend JetFlash 700 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model TS64GJF700

Pros: Dropped it by mistake not once but twice, not a scratch on it. I don't mind the cap, in fact I prefer it over those irritating sliding gadgets that tend to move when you don't want them to.

It's not heating up like this miniature caldera I got from a filthy best buy, but I'm not very impressed with the speeds. It certainly trumps 2.0 but you won't see people celebrating its performance.

That said I just ordered another a few hours ago.

Cons: A lanyard would be helpful when the design basically screams "We are just going to throw a small hole here and let the user figure something clever out, maybe with fishing wire."

Other Thoughts: I also ordered one of their 1TB external 3.0 drives based off my experiences with Transcend so far. Here's to hoping.
