2 out of 5 eggsConstantly crashes

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: This is an exceptionally speedy SSD and everything loads up almost instantly, easy to set up.

Cons: Constantly crashing since the day I bought it

Other Thoughts: I would not buy this direct SSD again if it was to constantly crash like this, though it is extremely fast

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Small size, because it's an ssd
Price was 74.99
Boots in 10-15 seconds as opposed to 60+ seconds on old HDD

Cons: Yellow, lol
For 89.99 it should really be 120gb, in my opinion

Other Thoughts: Fast and solid, boot times are super quick along with enough room for all startup applications and a game or two with some space left over. +Recommend

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Boot Drive (Drcent Price ATM)

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Bought this over a year ago, and it's still running strong. It was a great price at the time, but you can get better for your money now. Still, it's a solid boot drive, just get the a bigger size for the price. Mounting bracket it came with might be useful.

Cons: Price is high now, but nothing was on sale at time of purchase. So, none really.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed in less than a year

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Does exactly what you expect a SSD to do.. Fast

Cons: Failed after about 6 months of use. Blue screen of death galore even on fresh installation. The cause was apparently a built in expiration trigger that is designed to cause it to fail after 5 years.

Other Thoughts: Companies really need to stop with this nonsense

1 out of 5 eggsThe Pits

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Finally works fine

Cons: This has got to be the worst documentation and support there is. The migrate program would not open because it would not except the Key. Adata support when finally contacted, I was told there was no one to take my call. To get this SSD installed I had to purchase Paragon Migrate.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: It has a low power consumption.

Cons: This drive is advertised to have up to 550MB/s read and 510MB/s write speeds, I did some testing and found that my max sequential reads are 355.4MB/s which you might say isn't too bad, but here's where I'm upset, my max sequential write speeds are 73.07MB/s, that's not a typo, I get results that are 2x better on my 1TB 7200RPM Seagate drive, I also purchased a Samsung 840 EVO 500GB drive of which had MUCH MUCH closer results to their advertised speeds 522.2MB/s read 505.2MB/s writes, ADATA has disappointed me and I can't even get my money back, I have no future plans of buying anything from them again.

5 out of 5 eggsFAST

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: This one is faster than the Crucial 64GB M4 one. This one takes 10 seconds to boot into Windows with a Q6600 CPU whereas the Crucial M4 one takes 14 seconds. Both are SATA III.

Cons: It doesn't make me my breakfast.

Other Thoughts: One of the Crucial ones after like 2 years started giving me BSODs with BIOS not recognizing it unless you did a cold boot.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking great. First SDD.

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: It's working great. Everything is much better than a HDD. Working very well as a SSD cache.

Cons: None so far...

Other Thoughts: I chose this particular SSD not because of the reviews but because I saw active participation by ADATA for bad reviews. They respond to the customers having problems, giving them solutions. I didn't see many other companies doing this. If it does go, it's just a SSD cache anyways. I'll just a new one from ADATA!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Excellent speeds, not issues with installation or anything else for almost a year now.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This drive is small enough that anyone installing an operating system on it should absolutely consider moving their default libraries to another storage drive.

My knowledge and experience with SSD's is low. Windows 7 pro boot time is just over 20 seconds with my FX-8350 and ASRock Extreme3 990X mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works!

This review is from: ADATA XPG SX900 ASX900S3-64GM-C 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: - Good upgrade from a spinny-disk.
- SATAIII, so you'll probably get all you can get out of it.
- Good lifespan - so far.

Cons: - A bit small for an OS drive.
- Not the fastest on the market.

Other Thoughts: This served as my OS drive for a year and a half before I moved it to another box to serve as -that- box's OS drive.

Management of space on the drive required a bit of doing, what with assorted user folders and documents, but it was plenty for my OS and programs. All in all, I was happy with this and would get an ADATA drive again.
