5 out of 5 eggsSATA3, fast

This review is from: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 ASP600S3-32GM-C 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Works out of the box as expected. Fast matching most other drives. Came with a full retail kit of mounting hardware, which is nice.

Cons: The instructions show nothing about installing. I know I know, screws are just screws. See "Other Thoughts" below.

Wish it was bigger.

Other Thoughts: Has an akward "double sided sticky tape" mount that I am trying to figure out how to use.

I know the 64 GB version was only $10 more. But considering I am buying a lot of these for mining rigs, I'd save a few hundred by sticking with the 32GB ones.

This review is from: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 ASP600S3-32GM-C 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: The price.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

This review is from: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 ASP600S3-32GM-C 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Fast, reliable. I've had excellent experiences with the ADATA brand! Makes a compact, narrow-use system much, much faster.

Cons: Price per GB not in line (too high) as compared larger capacity drives, but perhaps it less profitable to build these...

Other Thoughts: Sometimes you want fast, inexpensive storage and don't need the volume- this drive works great for that, especially for embedded systems where you don't have mSATA as an option. I put this in a Habey 600 mini ITX case with dual core Fusion 350 CPU and 8GB DDR3. It runs stripped down Win7 64 like a champ. Admittedly, I had to remove the outer casing from the drive due to space concerns, but this runs fine with no casing (bye bye warranty). Note: the circuit board is about the size of a mPCI-e card.

1 out of 5 eggsFailed after almost no use.

This review is from: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 ASP600S3-32GM-C 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Cheap. Sort of fast for low power.

Cons: Stops working. It stopped working after really no use. I bought this for a firewall server and then it sit for a few months. Then I retasked the drive and it died within a day.

Once it broke, it stops the system from posting, if you take it out and put it in a usb/eSATA caddy, the usb doesn't find it and eSATA hangs the system.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 ASP600S3-32GM-C 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Loving the fast boot of my Windows.

Cons: Spendy for the size of the drive, but new technology is that way.

Other Thoughts: One thing to keep in mind with SSD is that you cannot be constantly writing to them. If you do anything that involves writing too much, you will eventually get a burn in failure, which is the only down side of this great technology. That is why I made mine for the OS only and have a separate HDD for my programs.

2 out of 5 eggsBSOD after 7 months

This review is from: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 ASP600S3-32GM-C 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Very fast, like extremely fast. I never thought a SSD could make such a difference.

Cons: Crapped out after 7 months, BSOD every time I boot, I unplug the drive and boot from old hard drive and it works fine.

1 out of 5 eggsBrought My ENTIRE System to a Grinding Halt

This review is from: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 ASP600S3-32GM-C 2.5" 32GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: It was zippy with loading my OS.

Cons: Where should I begin? Welp, it caused me a lot of trouble with my newborn baby computer. A LOT. When I had my SSD in, I couldn't load any apps, couldn't install any games by disk (which I prefer because it's much faster,) and it wouldn't let me delete and re-install my drivers. Over all, I'm happy that I've gone back to good old-fashioned HDD.

Manufacturer Response:
