5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product

Pros: Easy to install and there were walkthroughs for imaging my C: drive over to it. Went without a hitch.

Cons: The process for transferring is a bit more involved than it probably needs to be but I did use the version of the software Adata made available to me for free. There are other easier options available.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor customer service

Pros: Shipped fast. I am sure if this is a pros because one thing missing in my package.

Cons: My ssd does not come with the 3.5 inch bracket. I cannot mount it on the case. I call customer service to ask if they can send me the 3.5 inch bracket. Her attitude is the worst customer service I ever talk to. She said NO.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Customer Service

Pros: I wrote review a day ago about new package.

Cons: NewEgg or Seller need to change item description for new package.
It does not comes with 2.5" to 3.5" SSD bracket.

Other Thoughts: I contacted to ADATA customer service directly about new package which doesn't included bracket as item description via E-mail and I have got reply from ADATA customer service. They just sent me simply tracking number for bracket shipment. Their response just took half day. What a great customer service. All my computer's SSD is ADATA as before. This is my third time purchase and have no problem for 2 years.

4 out of 5 eggsTypical misrepresentation

Pros: Don't know yet. I just pulled it out of the mailbox.

Cons: Typical lately. Although the pics show and the description states that it come with a 2.5 to 3.5 tray, it does not. The box is smaller and only contains the drive and that little, flat, plastic shim.

I have been having this problem a lot with Newegg lately. I stopped buying their cables because what you get isn't what is advertised and they aren't worth the cost of return.

Respectfully,

Irritated consumer

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's SSD. Faster than HDD of cause.

Cons: Conversion Bracket and screws. That was a part of my decision. As you can see on overview page and last picture from detail, it's comes with a 3.5-inch conversion bracket. I just got package today and nothing inside of package. Even screw for install.

Other Thoughts: Kinda mad on package change or wrong description. I can not trust ADATA item description anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsnice drive for the price

Pros: price
size
stability

Cons: weird behavior with some motherboard settings

Other Thoughts: I've purchased 6 of these in the past year. This last one went into a netbook that my wife uses for work. This changed an anemic performing computer(Acer aspire KAV60) into a very acceptable work computer. Boot time is now 45 seconds with win-7 home pro 32bit. (was >4 minutes with the 5400RPM HDD)
The only problem I have had with any of these drives is an incompatibility with xHCI settings on a GIGABYTE GA-Z77-D3H. Once these were disabled, the drive performed flawlessly - weird but acceptable.

1 out of 5 eggsFailled after a week.

Pros: Was fast while it worked. First try at a SSD, was awesome at first fast boost to boot times and app launches. Slightly less read and write time then advertised. But still good.

Cons: Failed after about two weeks of use. Fresh install of Windows 7 lost with all recent data. Windows and bios would not see anymore than 30GB after it failed.

Other Thoughts: For my first foray into the world of SSD's this sucked. While it worked it was fast and I loved it. Not gonna recommend or buy from ADATA in the future.

I have RMA'd the drive and hope that when I get the replacement it works.

1 out of 5 eggsDevice died after a week

Pros: Was fast

Cons: Installed the SSD in my wife's laptop, installed Windows 7 and after a week usage, Windows does not boot up, OS is missing. Further testing shows the partition is gone. Using partition recovery software, only the Windows 104MB recovery partition can be found. All data is lost and now sleeping on the couch.

Other Thoughts: I have used other SSD drives in my own laptop and desktop with no issues. These were from other manufacturers so I will think again before buying Adata.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry that your SP600 is not working properly. Unfortunately, DOA does occur from time to time and that is why there is a warranty on our products that covers this issue. Please send it in for an RMA exchange and you will receive a working replacement. The ADATA RMA process is a simple and painless procedure. Please feel free to contact us directly.

Thank you,

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: Quiet, speedy, more energy efficient than mechanical, longer battery life for a laptop. I didn't run any speed tests, don't care that it's not the fastest. It's fast enough.

Comes with a handy 3.5" mounting bracket and a stick on spacer to make it the same thickness as a mechanical drive. Although, you could epoxy on some popsicle sticks.

Cons: All plastic case. That will deter heat dissipation. Time will tell. I've 120mm fans cooling all my drives. Can't go wrong cooling a drive, whether it's SSD or mechanical.

Other Thoughts: I followed the manufactures installation procedure. Which was essentially to power off the computer first. However I didn't unplug it. I instead used the switch to disconnect the power supply. This leaves the ground wire connected, to avoid static. You're good as long as you touch the case before touching the drive. Connecting an anti-static wrist strap to a case that isn't grounded is pointless.
