3 out of 5 eggsA bottle neck

Pros: This memory runs perfect on default settings at 1066 MHz.

Its attached heat sinks are low profile and allow enough
air flow in between these memory bars. Has three preset
profile in it and the BIOS recognize them as well.

Cons: While playing games, the physical memory dumps and cause
windows blue screen error. The only frequency is 1066 MHz
when it works on the long run. I tested it with XP 32 and
64 bit, Server 2003 operating systems and the same problem
occurs. Not stable for 24/7 systems. RMA reason: unsatisfied

Other Thoughts: Core Duo E8400 @ 3.0 GHz, Asus Maximus Extreme, Killer nic M1,
BFG GeForce 9800 GTX, Sound Blaster Audigy SE, Silencer PSU

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Uzisuicide,

The voltage and timing variant differs between different makes/models/chipset mainboards. Please contact support@patriotmem.com in order for us to better help you with proper timing and voltage to ensure maximum performance for the mainboard and cpu you are using.

Best Regards,
Mikiel

5 out of 5 eggs2000mhz

Pros: Price/Performance.

Cons: Corsair is a little easier to OC, but it costs three times as much (hint: it's not worth it!)

Other Thoughts: I don't own this RAM (yet at least) but the are reviews of this RAM reaching near 2000mhz at 7-7-7-20 and near 2100mhz at default latencies. Quad Cores do not overclock as well.

5 out of 5 eggsAddition

Pros: Same as stated before.

Cons: Same as before

Other Thoughts: I apologize I must make a correction. Upon further testing of this set it Cant do 2ghz stock timings. that was my mistake it can do two with a cooling fan and relaxed timings though it can do it at near stock voltages (+0.1 volts. It seems that the longer this ram runs the hotter its max temps are. after around 30 or so hours of using it at overclocked settings its max temps went up a few degrees currently the ram runs a bit warm even with a ram fan but that is to be expected. But its still chugging...err screaming along as fast as ever.

I apologize for any confusion I may have caused with my last review.

5 out of 5 eggsFast. hot. expensive

Pros: Fast. Fastest on the market faster than my first three processors. Can run 1/1 with a 4.2ghz qx9650 at latency ddr3-933 with timings of 3-4-4-12 and can run stock timings at 2ghz.

Cons: Expensive though a bit cheaper than others and a bit on the warm side . voltage is a bit on the high side for my taste. afraid of long term livelihood.

Other Thoughts: Dont own this ram. was lucky enough to test this with a qx9650 on a watercooled asus maximus extreme mobo with a 8800gt. now if only i had the money i would buy that exact setup

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Running on Intel P35 with Asus p5k3. It is very stable at the stock speeds and voltage from the early testing when recieving the sticks. I backed off after hitting 1915mhx at stock. So far a good pair of memory.

Cons: Very expensive for some.
