Pros: I'm not sure why I choose this ram over G.Skills sniper series since g.skill lead the pack concerning reviews and price. however the memory I replaced was AMD performance 1600 and it was produced by patriot and it worked flawlessly. So there it is.

Cons: The reason for the upgrade from 1600 to 1866 was the hope that it would get a slight jump from my A10 5800K APU in graphic performance. the ram was recognized as 1866 and installed in the xmp profile. However I actually dropped 1 point each on my windows experience index so I've lost performance not gained. I feel so stupid for making this decision.

Other Thoughts: It is important to me to make this system or computer build run at peak performance and because I can only purchase parts twice a month (payday) I'm extremely disappointed in this purchase. Pros: Meh,

Cons: Defaults to 1600@9,9,9,24 in new 3750k build, havent bothered trying to set manually yet.

The spreaders are really only cosmetic. Very thin and cheap not even mounted with a proper medium.

Pricey

Other Thoughts: I assume theyll run at advertised speeds once I get around to overclocking but give the price I expect some more then cheap spreaders and underclocked defaults.

Pros: - Both sticks are rock solid and at 1866.

- Was able to select the XMP 1.3 Profile on my ASRock 970 Extreme3.

Cons: Absolutely nothing!

Other Thoughts: AMD's FX CPUs support DDR3 1866 officially. So I figured it only made sense to pair it up with some high performance memory. Patriot's Viper 3 is a win in my book!

Pros: Very fast RAM, easily overclocked it wanted, not to tall with the heat spreader.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: With enough RAM make a RAM drive if you want a super fast place to store your stuff!!

Pros: RAM is very fast. Very stable at the specified timing.

Cons: I had to set the timings in BIOS. Not really a con and you have to expect it with higher frequency RAM. The timings are not on the box, I found them on here.

Other Thoughts: So good I'm thinking about picking up another set!

Pros: It works but in my case only at 1600 speed. Not much more expensive than 1600 DDR3 RAM.

Cons: Will not boot at set listed settings on a Asus F2A85-M Pro Amd board with A10 processor. Will only boot at 1600, otherwise it will not boot. The board is listed as more than capable for this ram (up to 2400 DDR3). Agggh. Since the integrated graphics work off of the speed of the RAM there is a performance hit.

I noticed I was not the only person with this problem so know there are issues with speed. I kinda doubt that each RAM is personally inspected as this error would have been caught.

Pros: absolutely fast ram for your pc. Perfect for an amd apu that uses the ram for memory! gets 7.9 wei with no apu gpu and 7.5 when its in use

Cons: none yet

Pros: This is some fast ram, gets a great Windows Experience Index score.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I've only had this system together for a few days, but this ram is getting the job done just as it should. If your system is giving you a lower clock speed, it's probably your motherboard settings. Don't down-grade the product for a slower speed unless you check your motherboard settings first. It's an easy fix, just thought I'd help some people out, because that's an issue that I had.

Pros: I picked up the Viper 3 Memory made by Patriot here at New Egg, installed it, and it works perfect. Awesome memory, awesome company, and I will continue to purchase items from Patriot because they have never failed me!

It not only works well, it also looks awesome!

Cons: None whatsoever!

Other Thoughts: These sticks of RAM look totally cool with the Star Trekky looking heatsinks. But best of all, this RAM works exceptionally well.

Just buy it!

Pros: Viper 3 is the best and most versatile memory i had ever used. Straight out of the box or o.c. it abit. Runs flawlessly . Cost great also. I have the new 3.0 mother board and a 3rd generation processor. No problems at all would tell anyone to buy it!! Heat sinks work very well!

Cons: No cons could find nothing wrong with it.
