5 out of 5 eggsDon't blame the RAM!

Pros: Runs up to 2133mhz at 8-8-7-24-1N on Asus P6X58d-E (1.525 vtt voltage)
Runs up to 2000mhz at 8-8-7-24-1N on Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (1.6 vtt voltage)
Runs perfectly at 1866mhz at 7-7-6-20-1N on Asus P6X58d-E (1.325 vtt voltage)
Runs perfectly at 1800mhz at 7-7-6-20-1N on Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (1.355 vtt voltage)
Runs perfectly at 1600mhz at 6-6-5-18-1N on Asus P6X58d-E (1.3 vtt voltage)
Runs perfectly at 1520mhz at 6-6-5-18-1N on Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (1.335 vtt voltage)
- all of the above at 1.66 vmem in bios (these boards don't have a 1.65 setting, but actually measurements show that 1.66 is really 1.65 anyway).

Cons: Requires a processor with a strong uncore / memory controller and may have issues with tighter Gigabyte Memory timing defaults. Not all core i7 920's and 930's can handle the high speeds and tight timings; better binned chips will do better and you might want to pick up a Xeon (w3520 or w3530) to make sure you've got a better binned chip.

Other Thoughts: Some people (like N/A below) will blame the ram when it's really the CPU holding the memory back. This is NOT Mushkin's fault. You can verify the issue by using memtest86+. In cases where the RAM passes without error, but you have problems in Windows, it's probably the CPU's uncore/memory controller, not the memory.

However, Mushkin should not be advising VTT's above 1.6 without being sure users have superior cooling. That's like setting vcore above 1.5 without excellent cooling. That part is Mushkin's fault (but not the RAM's fault).

To be clear though: Mushkin is definitely NOT less reliable than Corsair or any other brand. People need to realize that their 1 bad experience (like a data set with a "n of 1") is not enough to make statements like this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product, Excellent Customer Service

Pros: These are some of the best if not THE best i7 6Gb sticks you can get, PERIOD. They run DDR3 1659 6-6-6-18 @ 1.66 vDIMM, 1.36 vQPI with the CPU running @ 4.34GHz (21 x 207) on a D0 920. I don't run them @ DDR3 2000 because on an overclocked i7 CPU at the speed I'm running that's too much to ask of the CPU IMC without exotic cooling. Doesn't matter. DDR3 1600+ C6 is faster than DDR3 2000 C8 anyway. I originally had the 998730 kit that I had troubles with (problematic Elpida Hypers) and several RMAs. Mushkin replaced them with this 998750 kit and I haven't had a problem since. And they were very quick about it. Nick is the best!

Cons: Not enough supply in stock for everyone, that's just how cream-of-the-crop is. Not a significant con to lose any eggs

Other Thoughts: If you don't know what you're doing you have NO BUSINESS trying to clock this memory to DDR3 2000 ON AN OVERCLOCKED CPU at 4GHz!!! Mushkin NEVER guarenteed that. Neither does anyone else. Don't blame Mushkin when you fry your computer being stupid and not knowing what you're doing. There is nothing wrong with this kit nor with Mushkin as a company. And if you treat them with respect on their forums you will have a much better response from them. One more thing, you assume ALL risk when you overclock, period. Sorry, but the previous poster needs to grow up and accept responsibility for being negligent.

1 out of 5 eggs*WARNING* STAY AWAY FROM MUSHKIN

Pros: ABSOLUTELY NONE WHATSOEVER

Cons: THIS RAM DOES NOT RUN AT SPEC. TO GET IT TO RUN AT 2000, MUSHKIN INSTRUCTS YOU TO BUMP UP THE VTT TO 1.65V, REMIND YOU THIS IS THE INTERNAL MEMORY CONTROLLER VOLTAGE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. PER MUSHKIN'S INSTRUCTIONS, I DID EXACTLY THAT AND MY CPU DIED. INTEL WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY DUE TO OVER VOLTAGE. MUSHKIN IS AVOIDING ME LIKE THE PLAGUE AND WILL NOT RESPOND TO MY REQUEST FOR A RESOLUTION BECAUSE OF WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CPU DUE TO THEIR SUGGESTED SETTINGS. GO TO THEIR SUPPORT FORUMS AND DO A KEYWORD SEARCH USING THIS RAM'S MODEL NUMBER AND YOU CAN SEE FOR YOURSELF HOW THEY JUST DISAPPEARED AFTER I TOLD THEM MY PROCESSOR DIED DUE TO THEIR SUGGESTED SETTINGS.

Other Thoughts: GO WITH A MORE RELIABLE BRAND SUCH AS CORSAIR. DON'T TAKE CHANCES AND BUY RAM FROM A LESS REPUTABLE COMPANY THAT HAS A BLATANT DISREGARD FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS CONCERNS AND DOESN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS. SAVING A FEW DOLLARS FOR SOMETHING THAT APPEARS TO BE BETTER THAN THE COMPETITION IS NOT WORTH THE FALSELY ADVERTISED SPECS AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

5 out of 5 eggs100% awesome performance

Pros: + Easily overclocked.
+ Looks good.
+ Stays cool.
+ OK support web site.
+ Better rated performance than the Corsair Dominator CMG6GX3M3A2000C7 I also have at a MUCH lower price.
+ Actual operation as good as expected.

Cons: - Heat spreader construction feels a little flimsy for the price.
- Heat spreader retention clips can be easily pushed in and bent while inserting the module on the board.
- More expensive, but then you get what you pay for.
- For the price would have like to see a memory fan included.

Other Thoughts: - Muskin website memory configurator needs fleshed out more for the MSI brand motherboards. (e.g: MSI-7566 missing)
- Muskin website memory configurator needs common names as well as part numbers fleshed out more for the MSI brand motherboards for easier lookup. (e.g: No MS-xxxx part numbers listed. No correlation of the MS -7566 to the "Eclipse Plus" board name.)

Overall decent Mushkin web site. I was able to find some information the Eclipse Plus in t he Forum area.

5 out of 5 eggs*Bleeping* Slow Memory

Pros: If you have an evga E760 X58 Classified, just buy this memory and move on to a richly wonderful computing experience. I don't know about other MoBo's and this RAM combo, so all bets are off there. LOTS of bling in shiny candy apple red. Will run cool at rated speeds with rated clockings with no adverse side affects.

Cons: Unless you are on the Forbes Billionaire list, you will likely consider these memory sticks to be pricy. Get over it. They are worth every penny.

Other Thoughts: At first the memory was VERY slow. It took UPS two WEEKS for shipping. I don't know what Guaranteed 3-day shipping means to UPS, but it can't possibly mean TWO *bleeping* weeks! Now that the memory is installed it is simply perfect. What do I get if my guarantee is not satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns great on X48 systems

Pros: -Able to run it on X48, X58, and P55 setups.
-When max speed is not your goal, you can run very tight timings on it.
-Runs cool to the touch at roughly DDR3-1500~.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I had a very hard time trying to run my 6GB kit of DDR3-1600 Dominators at anything above 1333 on my X48 board [I know it was not meant for it but at least I have that option with this kit]; this RAM can easily run DDR3-1800 on my BlackOps system with a lower CPU speed [currently my CPU is set to 4500Mhz]. This is more than likely due to BIOS limitation and that the BlackOps does not really like to run 4GB of RAM at high speeds.

5 out of 5 eggsFlexible memory for varying setups

Pros: I'm running an i7 930 at 3.9. The cpu overclock is my #1 goal. To accomplish it, I'm using the 22 multi with a BCLK frequency of 177. Nearest selectable DDR3 timings in this case are 1774 and 2129. Moving multi and BCLK around affect the DDR3 choices very little. I'm choosing to run this DDR3 at 1774, with great timings of 7-7-7-22 1T on 1.65v. It's perfectly stable and flies at this speed and timing. That's why I call it flexible, not all memory can do this.

Cons: The only con is pointed in Newegg's direction. Because I ordered the ram by itself, Newegg shipped it in a padded manilla envelope, major fail in my book! I normally order ram with another item so the ram gets shipped in a box. Yes it arrived undamaged; but the plastic case was cracked. It's obvious the envelope took a beating. I eventually resell my gear. Thanks to the Egg going cheap on me, I'll have a cracked case that will need an explanation when I go to sell. My advice, order it along with something that requires them to use an actual shipping box.

Other Thoughts: If you're not overclocking your cpu, you'll likley have the choice to run the ram at it's full 2000MHz. If your overclock prevents that, a lower speed with lower timings will still yield stellar results
