5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997008

Pros: Memory is really fast and looks really sweet with the red heat sinks. It was easy to install and felt durable. Runs fairly cool according to the ASUS Thermal Radar.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My ASUS motherboard was detecting the timing on the RAM at 1333 and if I tried to manually adjust to 1866 it would cause a BSOD. I did some digging around on the internet and found that some other people had to go in and manually set the timing in the BIOS. This was pretty easy with the UEFI BIOS but may be more difficult depending on your MoBO.

3 out of 5 eggsWon't boot as 1866

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997008

Pros: Nice construction.
Heatsinks are very sturdy and feel like they are quality made.
Works as 1333.

Cons: AS the review title says, these won't post as 1866 mhz. They also won't post as 1600 mhz. I get either a fail to boot message, or a BSOD when they are anything more than 1333.

Other Thoughts: Build: AMD 8150fx, Gigabyte 990fx UD5, Intel 520 SSD 120gb, Nvidia 560 ti, 16gb Mushkin 1866mhz (these sticks)
According to the motherboard, and the CPU, they both support 1866 but, I can't seem to get a boot into windows at all with them set as 1866.

5 out of 5 eggsBest ram I've ever owned

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997008

Pros: I bought this as part of my sandy bridge upgrade and I haven't been disappointed.

Put this kit into my gigabyte z68 ud4 motherboard and they run perfect with XMP profile1.

Cons: none that I can think of, kind of wish the PCB's were black though instead of green

5 out of 5 eggsSeems like great, fast, cool looking RAM

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997008

Pros: I bought this for my i7 2600k + EVGA P67 SLI + GTX570 rig.
Pros:
1. Sexy looking sleek red
2. High end + fast
3. Perfect for Sandy bridge Intel since they need no more than 1.5 volts!!!!

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: More expensive than the other 8gb ram sets, but you get what you pay for. and perfect for the recommendations of intel's new chips...

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997008

Pros: This RAM actually looks better in person. Its more of a dark, satin red ... rather than a bright Red as it appears in the pictures here.
Feels very heavy, and very well made. Perfect match for my EVGA MOBO.

All I cant say is ... BRILLIANT!

Cons: None other than .... It wasn't free?
Free is always good right? :)

Other Thoughts: This has been my second set of Mushkin RAM, and certainly will not be the last. The other set I have had the Frostbyte Heatsinks on them.
For 1.5v RAM, large heatspreads probably are not needed, unless you plan on heavily OCing them but ... I find the Ridgebacks to be much more visually appealing.
But to each thier own. Cant go wrong either way.
Great Stuff!!
You get what you pay for!

This review is from: Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997008

Pros: Great ram ran at 1866 on my sabertooth p67 with manual timings set. Clears my nhd14. Solid heat sinks have a good weight to them.
