5 out of 5 eggsWorks OK in 2012 MBP-13

Pros: Quick & easy installation

Cons: Only a few other reviewers, some of whom had bad luck with their memory.

Other Thoughts: Price for 16GB has come down since I added RAM to a 15" MBP a couple of years ago. This RAM is easy to install, and I ran memtest overnight with no issues detected. System (OSX-10.8.5 with multiple simultaneous Parallels VMs) works as expected also.

4 out of 5 eggsSecond pair works great

Pros: The first set of RAM I received from NewEgg had to be returned to Mushkin because the Mac Mini I bought it for was crashing and the memory failed a memtest check. Mushkin customer service was very easy to work with and promptly sent me a replacement set that works perfectly.

Cons: Unfortunate that I had to RMA the memory.

Other Thoughts: I've been buying Mushkin memory for years and this is the first time I've had a problem. I will have no problem buying from them in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Bought 4 sets of this RAM for late 2012 model Mac-minis. Zero problems. Works as advertised.

Cons: None. Only issues I had with the mini's was Apple's firmware causing the screen to flash black for second which they subsequently patched.

3 out of 5 eggsrisky

Pros: It works, just not with everything. (passed over 12 hours of memtest with no errors...read below)

Cons: I got this for my new late 2012 mac mini with the 2.6 i7. Plan to use mainly for video and photography. I was doing some testing cause I was wondering what all the Intel HD 4000 could run game wise though, so I tried a few Blizzard games and some indie stuff from steam.... Well, that's when I ran into some issues with the ram. Entire system would crash along with odd graphic artifacts. However, the system was stable doing video encodes and low cpu usage tasks except when using chrome and flash player. I got the same full system crash browsing youtube. It isn't a heat issue either.

I took the ram out and put the apple ram back, ran the same games/tests...no crashing at all. I noticed that the apple ram is rated at 1.5 volts whereas this mushkin ram is 1.35. I'm wondering if the integrated graphics are asking too much from the mushkin ram during heavy GPU use, since it uses system ram for GPU ram.

Other Thoughts: So, seems like a risky buy for use in the late 2012 mac mini. It might be fine if you do not tax the GPU for anything.
I could also be wrong :)
I tried to contact mushkin via their website, but their form was telling me the sku didn't exist :\

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: None

Cons: Memory does not work, it creates artifacts on the screen and crashes the machine. I have been unable to return it due to long hold times, i was going to exchange it, but given what i'm seeing i think i'll return these two sticks. I would have given it at least two stars if it were not for the fact that others are experiencing the same issues.

Other Thoughts: 3 for 3 on defective memory on my last purchases.

1 out of 5 eggsFREEZES Constantly!!

Pros: .

Cons: I bought a new Macbook pro 2012 in june, and i wanted to upgrade to 16gb. I bought this Memory last week, and installed it today, and right after 5 minutes, my mac froze. My mac has never ever froze on me before. this is the first time. I restarted and tried again and the same thing happened. 5 min no problem and then it freezes. I read the reviews on newegg but most ppl said it works with no problems. But after all these issues i was faceing today, simply googled Mushkin Ram and theres enough ppl complaining about the same thing. Ive learned my lesson tho, i aint goin cheap with upgrading my mac. And my best advice, we spent over 2000$ on our macs, the least we can do is spend about 150$-200$ on a proper set of Memory. PCE

3 out of 5 eggsDOA... had to RMA

Pros: Newegg being great as always let me RMA.
Great Value

Cons: One of the two sticks was bad, I had to troubleshoot for a while using memtest to narrow it down.

Other Thoughts: Would probably buy again.... just not fun getting a defective product the first time and having to go through the hassle of shipping it back.
