4 out of 5 eggsMushkin 60GB SSD

Pros: 7 months of use and no problems.
FAST.

Cons: 60GB is BARELY enough for Win7 64 Home. I would recommend at least 80GB.

Other Thoughts: I am using http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817997053 to hold 2 of my SSD.

4 out of 5 eggsCareful with benchmarking

Pros: This SSD was at a great price point when I bought it and delivers excellent performance. My boot time from log on screen to fully booted averages 6-8 seconds.

Cons: The Mushkin software for updating firmware will not allow me to do so; it constantly gives an error that the firmware file selected (directly from Mushkin) does not contain a valid firmware. Apparently this is a common issue with Mushkin SSD's. I'm docking one egg for this because I will not be able to benefit from firmware updates in the future.

Other Thoughts: Many benchmarking softwares will not be able to properly benchmark this drive. I was getting results like 50 MB/sec sequential write and 150 MB/sec sequential read and I was going nuts trying to figure out what I had done wrong. Turns out all along the 3 different benchmarking softwares I used were at fault. The one that seems to work is ATTO Bench32. I got more realistic results around the 480 MB/sec range and felt much better :)

5 out of 5 eggsGood SSD

Pros: Fast SSD worth the money.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've owned or built 1-15 PC's with SSD's over the past year. This one is big enough for the OS and as fast as the other more expensive drives. Make a great choice for installing the OS with a larger traditional HD for Storage.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat OS boot drive

Pros: -Perfect amount of space for an OS boot drive.
-Insane read/write/4K speeds for the price per GB.
-Boots to Windows log in screen in about 10 seconds and shuts down Windows in about 8.
-WEI score of 7.7 (would probably be 7.9 but I'm running it through a SATA III PCIe 4x card because my motherboard doesn't have SATA III ports on it.

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: After a fresh Win7 install and all necessary drivers and other things, you'll have about ~25 GB left, but if you head over to overclock.net and find the thread "Sean's Windows 7 Install & Optimization Guide for SSDs & HDDs" you can free up a good 10+ GB as well and make it faster and increase the drive life/longevity.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good. Benchmark BEWARE

Pros: Inexpensive. Sandforce based drive can confuse benchmark results. Great for mom's pc. She doesn't have many programs and uses AOL for everything.

Cons: None?

Other Thoughts: Testing using crystaldiskmark and you will get 170MB read/write. Drove myself crazy. Need to change diskmark to 0-fill, or test using ATTO program. These two programs test with different types of data. After i pulled my hair out i found the read/write speeds around 550MB/s. pretty fast. You will have around 40GB left after formatting and installing win7 x64. Using this with a BIostar a880gz mobo. There are screw-mounting holes on the bottom and sides of the drive. Mine did not come with an adapter for a 3.5inch drive bay.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome buy

Pros: This comes with all the features every SSD should have, plus you get the feature to upgrade the firmware, if lets say your disk gives out after 500,000hrs of operation, you can simply upgrade the firmware to fix your problems, and this company has a great support team working on updates for there products.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I should have bought 2 of them for the price and features.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast little drive, great value. Use it as an OS boot drive and only put programs (no personal data) on it. Used this drive to replace a Corsair and was able to get almost all computers I own running an SSD for a reasonable price.

Cons: I haven't found anything major yet, except that with my Intel DP67BA motherboard I had to turn off fast boot in the BIOS/EFI. I think the drive is slow to wake but not a major issue. Don't do many cold boots anyway.
