Every computer needs more memory, unless you've filled all your slots. There's always some excuse, er, reason that you need more. No matter what you have, or if you're building something new, memory is vital. Usually, the more you have the better the computer will perform. Just make sure you have the "right stuff".
Designed specifically for Nvidia SLI platforms, the OCZ Flex family of system memory is engineered to give your performance a real boost. With the uniquely designed heatsink the memory can be overclocked to your heart's content and not overheat within your computer.
OCZ's 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 module is perfect for accelerating your computer's performance. High performance systems such as gaming machines will get the most out of this high performance memory. This specific type happens to be DDR2 1066(PC2 8500) running at 1,066MHz. For a simple way to increase performance of your system pickup some of OCZ's high performance memory and you will see a huge difference in your system's response.

Excellent memory
- Pros: Dual-channel kit with Nvidia SLI certification, SPD with EPP support. Built-in timings of 5-5-5-15. Installation into a "Stryker" Extreme motherboard was easy. Only BIOS setting that needed to be changed was boosting memory voltage to 2.1v. This baby is rated to 2.4v. Rebooted, and the motherboard automatically used 5-5-5-15 settings at 1066 MHz (266 MHz real x 4). Awesome!
- Cons: Expensive. Latency could be better, but that's the trade-off ... higher bandwidth or lower latency. Cannot win them all!
- Other Thoughts: For "install and forget" performance, this can't be beat with SLI cert and EPP used in compatible motherboards with these features supported. Can definitely reach 1066 MHz speeds (PC-8500) ... now to try overclocking, but I'm happy already!
Worked great for me
- Pros: 2GB is lots with room to spare for most applications and games. RAM is fast and I didn't have any issues installing or getting it running at the proper speeds on my home-built system. Price is very reasonable for the capacity and performance.
