A unique feature unlike any other is the Xtreme Liquid Convention these modules employ. Need really advanced memory? If this doesn't do the trick then nothing else will. Water cooled memory. The Xtreme Liquid Convention system can be used with or without water, but if you need to overclock and want the best performance you can get, there is nothing better.

Pros: This is an attractive and effective RAM module with moderate over-clocking capability. It would ideally suit those building vanity systems where appearance is crucial and moderate performance is required. As always, OCZ's warranty adds significant value for potential over-clockers.

Cons: Those with SFF systems, large CPU thermal units or questionable clearance should exercise caution due to the large form factor of the memory modules. The 1/4" barbs may require some simple engineering to accommodate incorporation into the typical 3/4" or 1/2" water-cooled system. While exposure is minimal, the presence of copper and aluminum in the heatsink construction will require an eye toward the corrosion inhibition. Consideration of introduced flow restriction for WC systems is advised.

Other Thoughts: Contrary to an earlier review below, this RAM has never, *ever*, used Micron ICs (unlike the upscale PC2-9200 variant). The first release used ProMOS chips. Subsequent releases use PSC units which are rumored to lack the performance of the earlier ProMOS ICs. Please verify facts prior to review in order to minimize the misinformation and enable buyers to make informed purchase decisions.

Pros: very nice and heavy heatsink.. got mine running stable at 1026mhz passive..

Cons: may have some issues fitting with aftermarket cpu coolers..

looks nice but be careful

Pros: eventhough everyone i spoke with and all the information i had both on my pc and the ram indicated this would work fine, it didn't. every time i attempted to use it my system crashed.

Cons: unable to determine if the ram was bad, specs not accurate or issue with pc.

Water Cooled RAM

Pros: I wanted a top end water cooled system, so this RAM seemed like the best solution. XP 64 with a new 680i board, 8800GTX's and two Zalman water systems, one for GPUs/RAM and one for cpu. I am currently running 2 sticks and the system is stable.

Cons: 2 of the 4 sticks I purchased were bad. RMA'd them and stuck the replacements in. Now it seems as if at least one of those are bad. The first time they froze up my system soon after boot. I am very dissappointed since it takes long time to figure out what is wrong when something like this happens in a new build. I am now switching out the slots with the various sticks to narrow down the problem, but it's not worth the time spent. If these two end up being bad too, I am going with a different brand.

Other Thoughts: I also purchased some Patriot 2gb sticks for another system and might try switching them to see if I get better performance.

Pros: looks nice has like a crome heat sink on them, and does the job pretty well.. also there built pretty heavy duty.. works well for gamers...

Cons: 1/4in barb.s .... wish they was 1/2in.... thats all that i think that that needs to be fixed lolz '-'

Other Thoughts: cant wait until they make a batch of these in 2 gig sticks '-' also be sure to change your voltage and timeing before ya put um in!

too bad we cant make like our entire computers look like that crome color lolz...
