Designed specifically for Nvidia SLI platforms, the OCZ Flex family of system memory is engineered to give your performance a real boost. With the massive heatsink the memory can be overclocked to your heart's content and not overheat your computer.

A unique feature unlike any other is the Xtreme Liquid Convention these modules employ. Need really advanced memory? If this doesn't do the trick then nothing else will. Water cooled memory. The Xtreme Liquid Convention system can be used with or without water, but if you need to overclock and want the best performance you can get, there is nothing better.

Keeping that in mind OCZ's 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 module is perfect for adding to your computer's performance. High performance systems such as gaming machines will get the most out of this high performance memory. Two of these modules will provide such a huge performance increase that you may not want to remember what it was like before you added it to your system!

  • newegg FlexXLC Heatsink All Flex modules feature the new OCZ FlexXLC (Xtreme Liquid Convention) heatsink that delivers superior heat dissipation via a hybrid copper and aluminum design, alterable between passive air and water cooling.
  • newegg 2.2V EVP The OCZ EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) feature allows performance enthusiasts to use a VDIMM of 2.2V ±5% without invalidating their OCZ Lifetime Warranty.
  • newegg DDR2 800 DDR2 800 delivers incredible performance and platform compatibility with up to 6.4GB/s memory bandwidth for the ultimate work and gaming power!

1 out of 5 eggslooks nice but be careful

Pros: eventhough everyone i spoke with and all the information i had both on my pc and the ram indicated this would work fine, it didn't. every time i attempted to use it my system crashed.

Cons: unable to determine if the ram was bad, specs not accurate or issue with pc.

3 out of 5 eggsWater Cooled RAM

Pros: I wanted a top end water cooled system, so this RAM seemed like the best solution. XP 64 with a new 680i board, 8800GTX's and two Zalman water systems, one for GPUs/RAM and one for cpu. I am currently running 2 sticks and the system is stable.

Cons: 2 of the 4 sticks I purchased were bad. RMA'd them and stuck the replacements in. Now it seems as if at least one of those are bad. The first time they froze up my system soon after boot. I am very dissappointed since it takes long time to figure out what is wrong when something like this happens in a new build. I am now switching out the slots with the various sticks to narrow down the problem, but it's not worth the time spent. If these two end up being bad too, I am going with a different brand.

Other Thoughts: I also purchased some Patriot 2gb sticks for another system and might try switching them to see if I get better performance.

4 out of 5 eggsbuy um'

Pros: looks nice has like a crome heat sink on them, and does the job pretty well.. also there built pretty heavy duty.. works well for gamers...

Cons: 1/4in barb.s .... wish they was 1/2in.... thats all that i think that that needs to be fixed lolz '-'

Other Thoughts: cant wait until they make a batch of these in 2 gig sticks '-' also be sure to change your voltage and timeing before ya put um in!

too bad we cant make like our entire computers look like that crome color lolz...

4 out of 5 eggsDoes NOT use Micron ICs

Pros: This is an attractive and effective RAM module with moderate over-clocking capability. It would ideally suit those building vanity systems where appearance is crucial and moderate performance is required. As always, OCZ's warranty adds significant value for potential over-clockers.

Cons: Those with SFF systems, large CPU thermal units or questionable clearance should exercise caution due to the large form factor of the memory modules. The 1/4" barbs may require some simple engineering to accommodate incorporation into the typical 3/4" or 1/2" water-cooled system. While exposure is minimal, the presence of copper and aluminum in the heatsink construction will require an eye toward the corrosion inhibition. Consideration of introduced flow restriction for WC systems is advised.

Other Thoughts: Contrary to an earlier review below, this RAM has never, *ever*, used Micron ICs (unlike the upscale PC2-9200 variant). The first release used ProMOS chips. Subsequent releases use PSC units which are rumored to lack the performance of the earlier ProMOS ICs. Please verify facts prior to review in order to minimize the misinformation and enable buyers to make informed purchase decisions.

5 out of 5 eggsWow! what a value

Pros: Very fast and overclockable
Runs perfect at spec DDR-800
Runs DDR-1000 5-5-5-15 2.2v
Runs DDR-1066 5-6-6-18 2.2v

Cons: Very tall, may interfere with some aftermarket CPU coolers. Most boards will default the write to precharge at 10, needs to be changed manually to 11 for highpeed stability

Other Thoughts: Heavy, feels like quality

4 out of 5 eggsGood intentions, poorly executed design!

Pros: This ram has a good intentions of developing something to cool your ram sticks. The ram runs on it's 2.0v 4-4-4-15 timings as claimed by OCZ. It has no problem booting on Intel 975XBX2 boards, make sure you set the voltage to 2.0v because running at default will run your timings to 5-5-5-15 on the default 1.84v. The heatsink part that you can't see is made out of copper. Copper is good for watercooling, almost all waterblocks are copper. For those of you who want to know, the barbs for this ram are 1/4" ID(Inner Diameter).

Cons: The FLAW:
Anyone who is going to seriously overclock knows that having elbow joints in your water loop will hamper your systems cooling ability. Unless you decide to run it on a second separate loop by itself while cooling your Northbridge and Southbridge, then it will definitely bring down the effectiveness of your watercooling system.

Other Thoughts: Buy it only if you want to have a separate loop for your Northbridge/Southbridge and your ram of course. The max volt for this ram is 2.2v +-5% to be protected for the OCZ Lifetime Warranty, anything past that will void your lifetime warranty.
