Plug-n-Play
- Pros: After plugging in the memory the motherboard immediately recognized it and configured it to run as advertised. 1.8V running at 800MHZ.
- Cons: I have observed none.
- Other Thoughts: Don't let the wording, "Vista Upgrade" fool you. I used this memory with XP Pro SP3 with absolutely no problems. This hardware is very sturdy and I definitely recommend it for anyone out to purchase every-day use memory.
*NOTE* Check your motherboard's manufacturer's website for documentation as to what memory types are supported and verified stable with your motherboard! It will help you avoid many heart-aches.
Ocz Vista upgrade 2GB
- Pros: Like I said in the last post. They work.
- Cons: Just not in my computer.
- Other Thoughts: I thank you folks at OCZ for wishing to work with me. But I did try to change the BIOS. But my Dell will not let me. My friend has a Cyber Cafe, where he fixes Computers. He will find somebody who can use these ram sticks. So it's all good. No harm, no foul. Memory is a touchy thing. My friend put them in one of his Computers, and it would not even fire up. So I then took them back to my house, used the UBCD to memtest them. And, Lo, and behold. They worked from the boot CD.
The bottom line is this,,, They work great, for probably a bunch of systems. And you got to thank OCZ for being prompt with offering help.
