4 out of 5 eggsafter RMA=good.

Pros: great ram, oc's nicely, visually attractive, great price for DDR3.

Cons: had stability issues with pc. i figured it was just bios settings with new build as striker series MB is very sensitive to such settings. however i went thru and tweaked everything, and yet still got BSOD's and lockups. i ran prime 95 and it would fail almost instantly. then memtest86, and it too failed. so RMA=new sticks=happy me. :) i only wish that OCZ would have sent me everything for RMA(including box). i had to shell out another $14 to get it shipped to them. that should have been covered under the RMA IMHO.

Other Thoughts: overall i am happy with this purchase, and now that the price has dropped/rebate, i am contemplating purchasing another set.

*as with anything you buy for your computer, it's a good idea to hang on to the original packaging. and if you DO need to RMA something, make sure you write down the Serial Number somewhere to insure that you are not just getting recycled the same product. i've had that happen and was i livid!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff

Pros: Great memory for the price. Compared to other kits of the same cost, this one kicks buttocks.
Lower latency than most, without being nsanely overpriced like some of the Mushkin ones.
Runs at the timings/voltage/speed it says it will.

Cons: Didn't set itself to 6-6-6-20 @1333 by itself. Not a big deal, because almost no ram this day does.

Other Thoughts: Wish somehow the SPD could include a default setting for the reccomended timings/speed.

1 out of 5 eggsGIGANTIC, and arrived DOA

Pros: price

Cons: DOA, GIGANTIC, WAY TO BIG FOR AN ATX CASE, could NOT clear my BDROM.

Other Thoughts: if you want heat spreaders, get something with smaller ones, these are way to big and had serious clearance issues in my case... and they arrived DOA.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the problems. From the graphics we hope it is apparent that these heatspreaders are taller than standard. We encourage our customers to be sure that have the "vertical" clearance to accommodate them. We would be happy to assist you with troubleshooting and settings to get you running on our support forums at the link below. Please insure that you have set your memory voltage in BIOS as shown on the label on each stick.
Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Memory

Pros: The heatpipes move a good bit of heat away from the DIMM itself. Overclocks well and stays very cool. Anyone who decides to buy these will have NO heat issues.

Cons: Takes up a lot of space. Kind of wish I would have bought another MoBo with the DIMM slots farther away from the CPU socket. Memory is so big and the DIMM slots are so close, it's going to limit my choices for aftermarket CPU cooler (air, electricity does not mix with water). The memory also hits a wall when you OC over 1666MHz. They refuse to boot after that.

Other Thoughts: Very nice memory for the price but if you want to go beyond 1666MHz, find some better DIMMs. Also look for a MoBo with DIMM slots far away for the CPU socket.

5 out of 5 eggsNice ram

Pros: Nice ram, stays cool, works great.

Cons: I got 4 of these sticks, and one of thier heat syncs are a little bigger than the other ones, it has no effect on the ram, just looks a tad bit weird

1 out of 5 eggsmis-marked sticks

Pros: I'm sure its great ram, if it wasn't mismarked

Cons: I'll let you know AFTER the rma

Other Thoughts: Hope fully newegg won't screw me again and leave me without a computer for over a week. I know mismarked ram isnt their fault, but i spend waaaaay too much money with new egg to have to wait for them to receive the rma, inspect, then ship out the new sticks. GEEZ! They have my c.c. number on file.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, if your memory defaulted to a lower speed, this would be normal. We set the SPD info lower on many kits to insure that all motherboards will boot. Many boards boot at SPD timings and speeds (1333mhz in this case) before applying the additional set in BIOS that is required. This results in a no boot situation. We will be happy to assist you with settings on our support forums at the link below.
Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM, even better bang for your buck

Pros: Picked up this RAM to run in my MSI GD70 790FX board and I'm very pleased so far. Like the person below me said, the heatsinks make for very easy installation and look awesome. They seem to dissipate heat well too.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Great set of RAM for the money. Seems to overclock well and of course OCZ is of the highest quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAll Good

Pros: Heat sinks make it easy to install as the act like little handles. Rock solid performance right out of the package. That says a lot considering this was an early DDR3 offering when there just wasn't much out there to choose from. I've tortured these sticks for over a year now and not a single glitch, ever.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I prefer to match my memory speed with my front side bus speed. This fit the bill at that time just fine. I have had nothing but good performance from OCZ products.
